(Baonghean.vn) - Moong Thi Chanh lured Ms. An to China to sell fetuses but was proposed to be prosecuted for the crime of Organizing others to flee abroad.

The Investigation Security Agency of Nghe An Province Police has just transferred the case file to the People's Procuracy of the same level, proposing to prosecute Moong Thi Chanh (born in 1977, residing in Huoi Tho village, Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district) for the crime of "Organizing others to flee abroad".

Moong Thi Chanh took a pregnant woman from Bao Nam commune to China to give birth and then sell her baby.

In 2013, Moong Thi Chanh was tricked and sold to China, then married and stayed in China. During her time there, Chanh met a woman named Phuong who also married a Chinese man.

The two discussed and agreed that if anyone returned to Vietnam, they would find pregnant women to take to China to give birth and then sell the children to split the money.

Both agreed that the selling price of a child in China is about 60,000 yuan (equivalent to nearly 200 million VND). If the child is sold, it will be divided equally between the two people.

In July 2018, Chanh returned to Vietnam to visit her family and in April 2019, she married a man in Bao Nam commune, Ky Son district. There, Chanh learned that in the village, Ms. Cut Me An was pregnant, so she called her to persuade her to go to China to give birth and sell the child.

Chanh promised to pay An 60 million VND if she gave birth to a boy or 70 million VND if she gave birth to a girl. An discussed it with her husband and he agreed to let her go to China with Chanh to give birth and sell the child for money.

On April 24, 2019, after learning that Ms. An was pregnant with a baby girl, Chanh took her by bus to Hoa Binh town, Tuong Duong district, then continued to take a bus to Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province and crossed the border to China.

Here, Ms. An gave birth and was sold by a woman named Phuong for 60,000 yuan. Phuong gave Chanh 30,000 yuan (equivalent to 96 million VND).

After receiving the money, Chanh took a bus to take An back to Vietnam. Chanh gave An 70 million VND. The incident was discovered, the police started investigating and summoned Moong Thi Chanh to work. Chanh was then arrested and prosecuted for the act of organizing others to flee abroad.
