Nghe An celebrates the 44th National Day of the Lao PDR
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the National Day of the Lao PDR, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of the province sends best wishes to the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, wishing overseas students in Nghe An to continue to strive to practice, study, build and foster the Vietnam - Laos friendship relationship.
On the morning of December 2, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Nghe An province and the Provincial Border Guard Command held a ceremony to celebrate the 44th National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2019).
Also attending were representatives of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations; the Provincial Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association; and representatives of universities with Lao students studying.

At the ceremony, Colonel Tran Hai Binh - Commander of the Provincial Border Guard, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Nghe An province gave a speech recalling the history of the struggle of the Lao army and people, as well as Vietnam's assistance in giving birth to the Lao People's Democratic Republic; at the same time, affirming the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos that has been nurtured over the past 44 years.
Under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, we have achieved many great victories in the cause of defending our country. The Vietnamese people are always proud to have a loyal friend, Laos, standing shoulder to shoulder in the struggle for national liberation and reunification.

On this occasion, the National Liaison Committee of Vietnamese Volunteers and Military Experts presented a Commemorative Medal to 1 individual of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Nghe An province; the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association presented Certificates of Merit to 4 groups and 3 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the people's foreign affairs of Vietnam - Laos in 2019; the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Nghe An province awarded scholarships to 15 Lao students studying at universities and colleges in Vinh city.

* InVinh Universityalso held a ceremony to celebrate the 44th National Day of Laos. At the ceremony, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations presented the Medal "For Peace and Friendship among Nations" to Ms. Lo Thi Kim Ngan - Head of the Ethnic Committee of Nghe An Provincial People's Council, Member of the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations for her many positive contributions to people-to-people diplomacy activities.

The school awarded scholarships and certificates of merit to 11 Lao and Thai students with good academic and training achievements; and awarded prizes to teams in the Sports Tournament for international students on the occasion of National Day.

Previously, Vinh University organized many exciting cultural, sports and exchange activities imbued with national identity for more than 400 Lao and Thai students studying here.
* Nghe An College of Educationheld a ceremony to celebrate the 44th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and opened the 17th course of Vietnamese language training for Lao students in the 2019-2020 school year.

At the ceremony, delegates and Lao students reviewed the development history of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party over the past 44 years, and the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos, Laos and Vietnam, which is loyal, pure, and increasingly consolidated and comprehensively developed.
On this occasion, Nghe An Pedagogical College opened the 17th course to train Vietnamese for more than 100 international students from 6 provinces: Bolikhamxay, Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, Vientiane, Kham Muon and Savannakhet of Laos.
