Viettel Telecom honored as 'Best Mobile Data Service Provider in Vietnam'
(Baonghean.vn) - Last November, the world's leading market research and analysis organization Frost & Sullivan awarded the "Best Mobile Data Service Provider in Vietnam - 2019" award to Viettel Telecommunication Corporation (Viettel Telecom).

In Vietnam, the telecommunications market is gradually becoming saturated due to the large current mobile coverage, voice and SMS consumption tends to decrease but data consumption is growing strongly. As the network operator owning the largest 3G/4G infrastructure in Vietnam with more than 70,000 broadcasting stations, Viettel Telecom also has the largest number of 3G/4G subscribers and is continuously growing well, especially 4G subscribers. Specifically, in just the first 9 months of 2019, the number of 4G subscribers has doubled compared to 2018, reaching 21 million subscribers (accounting for 65% of the total number of subscribers using data on the Viettel network).
Particularly in Nghe An, Viettel is currently the leading network operator in both infrastructure and data subscriber market share with a total of 1,200 3G/4G broadcasting stations; ensuring to serve the data usage needs of nearly 1 million subscribers.
Not only pioneering the latest technologies such as 4G and soon 5G in Vietnam, Viettel also provides many short-term data packages (1 day, 3 days, 7 days) with low costs (5,000 VND - 30,000 VND); creating conditions for consumers of all ages and regions to have the opportunity to access the internet, making the service popular in Vietnam. This is also the common trend of major network operators in the world.
In addition, Viettel's telecommunications ecosystem is also very diverse, from free entertainment applications such as Mocha, Keeng... or most recently, the Viettel++ automatic point accumulation system for 100% of customers.

Speaking at the Frost & Sullivan 2019 award ceremony, Mr. Cao Anh Son - General Director of Viettel Telecom shared:“The award is a recognition from the international community that proves Viettel’s digital transformation strategy is on the right track. The Frost and Sullivan Awards have been held annually for nearly 60 years, spanning 19 business sectors..The awards are selected and judged by more than 1,200 analysts and consultants in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
