Vietnamese athlete exhausted, had to use oxygen tank after winning SEA Games bronze medal
Athlete Pham Thi Hong Le was exhausted and had to use an oxygen tank after winning a bronze medal in the marathon event at the 30th SEA Games for the Vietnamese sports delegation.

Immediately after completing 42km on the track, in the hot weather of the marathon this morning (December 6), athlete Pham Thi Hong Le had to immediately go to the medical room to receive care and recovery with an oxygen tank.
Vietnamese athletes were exhausted after surpassing their limits to win bronze medals in their first SEA Games participation.Pham Thi Hong Le achieved a time of 3 hours 02 minutes 52 seconds, just behind two athletes from the host Philippines.
It is known that Pham Thi Hong Le did not think she would win a medal despite her exhausting efforts to reach the finish line. The athlete from Binh Dinh only knew she had won a medal when her teammates informed her while she was recovering in the medical room.
Only 7 athletes participated in the women's marathon at the 30th SEA Games. However, only 5 athletes were able to finish while 2 had to drop out halfway.After receiving medical assistance, Pham Thi Hong Le also had to struggle to move to the medal receiving area.
Pham Thi Hong Le shared: “This is the first time in my career that I have had cramps and had to use oxygen when I reached the finish line. The steep road here combined with the harsh weather made my results not as expected.However, I am still happy with my efforts today. In difficult conditions, winning a medal is a happiness.”./.
