(Baonghean.vn) - The combined spillway in Ta village, Quang Phong commune (Que Phong) is currently seriously degraded, the spillway surface has collapsed by half, heavy trucks still circulate every day, posing many potential traffic accident risks when people travel through this area.

Located on National Highway 48D, the only road connecting the center of Quang Phong commune to Kim Son town, the combined spillway in Ta village, Quang Phong commune (Que Phong) is currently seriously degraded.

According to Ms. Vi Thi Duyen - Director of Que Phong District Project Management Board, the Ta village combined spillway started construction on May 13, 2009 and was completed on July 29, 2009. The project was invested by Que Phong District People's Committee with a total cost of more than 614 million VND.

"This combined spillway has had the most serious landslide in the past two years. In particular, the rain in May damaged the spillway body, collapsed three large concrete slabs (accounting for 50% of the road surface), damaged the spillway bed, and eroded the downstream of the spillway," said Mr. Lang Van Dung in Ta village, Quang Phong commune (Que Phong).

In addition, the spillway has many large cracks and the spillway bottom has been heavily eroded.

...and many iron and steel bars protruded from the edge of the spillway.
To ensure people's safety, local authorities have put up warning signs and poured more soil and rocks into the spillway's peeled concrete surface to temporarily cover it.

Although heavy vehicles are banned, because this is the only road, many vehicles still travel every day.
