The People's Courts of the Northern Delta and Midland provinces resolved and tried more than 110,000 cases.

On the morning of December 13, at the People's Court of Nghe An province, Emulation Cluster No. 1, including the People's Courts of 14 provinces in the Northern Delta and Midlands, held a conference to summarize the emulation and reward work in 2019.

According to the report at the conference, over the past year, the court units in Emulation Cluster No. I have closely followed the political tasks of the court and the locality, focusing on organizing and implementing the set goals well. Accordingly, the units in the cluster have resolved and tried 110,337/117,711 cases of all kinds, reaching a rate of 93.8%, compared to 2018, accepting an increase of 8,520 cases, resolving an increase of 8,056 cases.

It is worth mentioning that, in the context of an increase in the number of cases handled and a decrease in staff, with a spirit of effort and striving, the units in the cluster have overcome difficulties and challenges, basically completing their work targets excellently. Many units have a case resolution rate of 95% or higher, such as the 2nd-level People's Court of Nam Dinh province (99.29%), the 2nd-level People's Court of Ha Tinh (98.4%), the 2nd-level People's Court of Nghe An province (97.5%), the 2nd-level People's Court of Hai Duong province (97.3%)...

The quality of trials continues to improve, with many units having their cases annulled or amended due to subjective errors significantly reduced. Units in the cluster have effectively implemented the Supreme People's Court's breakthrough solutions such as publicizing judgments and decisions, improving the quality of debate in court, organizing experience-sharing sessions, and mediation work.

Based on the achieved results, Emulation Cluster No. I sets out the direction and tasks for 2020. Accordingly, continue to innovate the activities of the emulation cluster and units in the entire emulation cluster towards improving quality; organize and launch practical emulation movements, closely following the set emulation goals and targets. Ensure that 100% of legally effective judgments and decisions are enforced; 100% of complaints and denunciations are resolved in accordance with legal regulations...

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Van Thuan - Judge of the Supreme People's Court, former Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court highly appreciated the achievements and results of the units in the cluster. At the same time, he pointed out that, along with the multiplication of advanced models, with the requirement to perform well in all aspects of work in the context of the increasing number of cases that the People's Court has to handle and resolve, the situation of crime and civil disputes, administrative complaints is still complicated.

Therefore, it requires units and all cadres and civil servants of the People's Court under Emulation Cluster No. I to be determined, uphold responsibility and propose truly effective solutions for implementation, especially in the current conditions of streamlining the payroll.

The conference honored and proposed to award the title of People's Court Emulation Flag to the People's Court of Hai Phong City, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Hung Yen, Hai Duong provinces; honored and proposed to award the title of Government Emulation Flag to the People's Court of Nghe An, Quang Ninh provinces and the People's Court of Ba Thuoc district (Thanh Hoa), and the People's Court of Hai Ba Trung district (Hanoi).

Unanimously elected Bac Ninh Provincial People's Court as the Cluster Head unit, Hai Duong Provincial People's Court as the Deputy Cluster Head unit of the 2020 Emulation Cluster.
