(Baonghean.vn) - Born into a poor family, his family situation was extremely pitiful, but unfortunately, after a work accident, he was bedridden. That was the situation of Kha Bun Dan in My Ly commune, Ky Son district.

Kha Bun Dan (27 years old) is the third child in a family of four children, three of whom are disabled. His mother, Kha Thi May, is also an unusual person. She cannot speak Kinh and is illiterate.

Her first child, Kha Thi Man, was born deaf and autistic, and did not want to interact or communicate with outsiders. Her second child, Kha Thi Nhun, was born mute. Dan was also mute since childhood, however, he could understand what people around him said and work normally.

Mr. Dan was moved from his home by everyone and taken to the hospital.

Mrs. May has no husband. For decades, she and her children have lived in poverty and constant deprivation. The stilt house where her family lives was built with donations from various departments, organizations, local people and border guards.

After a period of use, this charity house on stilts, made of planks and roofed with plywood, has also deteriorated. In that dilapidated house, there are no valuables, no electricity...

A few months ago, Mr. Dan went to work as a housemaid for the villagers, unfortunately had a work accident that resulted in a perforated intestine, and was taken by the villagers to the Ky Son District Medical Center for treatment. However, due to the family's difficult circumstances and not being able to pay the hospital fees, the family took him home.

After that, he was paralyzed in both legs and could not walk, had to stay in bed, and had to rely on his relatives to help him with all his daily activities. Due to lying in one place for a long time, Mr. Dan suffered from necrosis in his buttocks, the wound spread, gouged deep into the flesh and bone, affecting his life.

Ky Son District Police officers took fingerprints and made an ID card for Mr. Dan right in the ambulance.

Faced with Mr. Dan's pitiful situation, Ky Son Volunteer Club called for help from the community, donating materials to take Mr. Dan to the hospital for treatment.

On December 17, thanks to the help of local departments, agencies and organizations, Mr. Dan was moved from the village to the Ky Son District Medical Center to treat his wounds. In order for Mr. Dan to have all the necessary paperwork before being hospitalized, the Ky Son District Police officers went to the ambulance where Mr. Dan was lying to take his fingerprints and make an ID card for him.

Mr. Dan is being treated and cared for at the Provincial General Hospital.

That same evening, thanks to the support of members of the Cua Lo Volunteer Club, Mr. Dan was admitted and treated at the Provincial General Friendship Hospital.

Mr. Vi Van Viet - Secretary of the Youth Union of My Ly commune, Ky Son district said: Mr. Dan's family is one of the poorest households in the commune, with the most difficult circumstances. When Mr. Dan, the main breadwinner in the family, was bedridden, the family's situation became even more dire. Mr. Dan's case is extremely pitiful, and he hopes to receive support from the community, philanthropists and kind-hearted people.
