Male student arrested for transporting 10,000 synthetic drug pills in Nghe An

In October 2019, through the work of grasping the local situation, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police discovered a drug trafficking ring from Laos to Vietnam. A special case was established.

The investigation team determined that Mua Ba Xeng (born in 1998, residing in Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district) - currently a student at a university in Vinh city - has many suspicious signs regarding time and relationships.

Xeng regularly contacted suspicious subjects on the other side of the border. Realizing that this was a key subject in this chain, the Task Force focused on monitoring.

At 7:30 p.m. on December 21, 2019, in the mountainous forest area of ​​Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district, the Special Task Force coordinated with Tuong Duong district police and Nam Can Border Guard Station, Nghe An province Border Guard Command to catch Mua Ba Xeng red-handed in the act of illegally buying and selling drugs.

At the time of discovery, although Mua Ba Xeng fiercely fought back, the authorities were able to control the subject and seize 10,000 synthetic drug pills.

At the investigation agency, Mua Ba Xeng confessed that he brought the above drugs from Laos to Vietnam for consumption.

Xeng is the link between sellers in Laos and drug buyers in Vietnam. Once he has a contact, Xeng is also the person who directly receives the goods from the subjects across the border to bring back to Vietnam for consumption.

The case is currently being investigated by the authorities.
