Dai-Ichi Life Insurance pays over 1.2 billion VND in insurance contract benefits to customers
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to fulfill the contract of commitment to responsibility with customers, on December 21, in Dien Chau, Dai-Ichi Life Insurance Office Dien Chau proceeded to pay insurance contract benefits to customer Duong Duc Hieu in hamlet 8, Quynh Doi commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Tran Trung Chinh - Executive Director and Business Development of the North Central region; Ms. Vo Thi Thuy Hien - Director of Dien Chau Office and Business Development Directors of Dai-ichi Life offices in Nghe An province; representatives of Dien Chau District Red Cross Society and customer families.

In the case of customer Duong Duc Hieu in Hamlet 8, Quynh Doi Commune, Quynh Luu, aware of the importance of life insurance for himself and his family, Mr. Hieu participated in a contract with an annual amount of 12 million VND. After only 2 months of participating in insurance, Mr. Duong Duc Hieu (at that time a naval lieutenant) was unfortunately involved in a sudden traffic accident and died.

At the ceremony, after the announcement of the compensation payment decision, a representative of Dai-Ichi Life Insurance Company sent condolences and symbolically presented VND 1,2114 billion to Mr. Duong Duc Hieu's family.
Also within the framework of the payment ceremony, Mr. Phan Thanh Son - Director of Operations and Business Development of Nghe An region expressed gratitude to customers and introduced the purpose and meaning of participating in Life Insurance in general and Dai-Ichi Life Insurance in particular.

On behalf of the Company, Mr. Tran Trung Chinh - Executive Director and Business Development Director of Dai-Ichi Life Insurance in the North Central region introduced the 12-year journey of Dai-Ichi Life in Vietnam. The Company has grown 20 times in total premium revenue and is one of the top 3 life insurance companies in Vietnam; with new premium revenue in 2018 exceeding VND 5,000 billion. The Company achieved total premium revenue of over VND 11,500 billion, accounting for 13% of the life insurance market share.
Also in 2018, Dai-Ichi Life paid out more than VND1,032 billion in benefits to customers, including insurance benefits, maturity benefits and periodic cash benefits, of which insurance benefits amounted to nearly VND642 billion. Along with business activities, the Company also actively participates in social and charitable activities with a budget of up to VND27 billion.
