Nghe An: 56 individuals won prizes in the contest to learn about traffic safety laws

On the morning of December 23, at Do Luong 1 High School, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee held a closing ceremony and awarded prizes for the online contest "Learning about traffic safety laws and providing and using information on the Internet" on Nghe An Provincial Electronic Information Portal in 2019.

Attending the event were comrades: Hoang Phu Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Transport; Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest. Representatives of some provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of Do Luong district and a large number of cadres, teachers and students of Do Luong 1 High School.

The online contest "Learning about Traffic Safety Law and providing and using information on the Internet" on Nghe An Provincial Electronic Information Portal in 2019 took place from November 11 to December 9, 2019.

This is the fourth year Nghe An province has organized the contest with the aim of raising awareness among youth union members, students and people about obeying traffic laws, preventing accidents, and being cultured when participating in traffic. At the same time, being aware of using and exploiting information on the internet in accordance with the law, effectively, healthily, bringing practical meaning to oneself and society. In addition, minimizing negative manifestations and conflicts arising in online communication.

At the end of the contest, there were 1,218,625 entries. The contestants came from many different backgrounds such as officials, civil servants, and public employees at the provincial and district levels; students, and freelance workers. Of which, students and teachers at high schools accounted for the majority.

Speaking at the closing and award ceremony, comrade Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest highly appreciated the serious and extensive implementation of departments, branches, agencies, units, schools, students in the whole province. From there, creating a strong shift in the awareness of self-consciousness in complying with the law on traffic safety and order among the people and enhancing responsibility in providing, using and exploiting information on the Internet to ensure efficiency.

Some active units with a high number of candidates and good test quality, maintained consistently throughout the 4 exam weeks are: Department of Transport, Provincial Police, Thai Hoa Town, Anh Son District, Dien Chau, Thanh Chuong, Nghia Dan, Vinh Medical University; High Schools: Thanh Chuong 3, Nguyen Canh Chan, Dang Thuc Hua (Thanh Chuong District); Nguyen Truong To (Vinh City); Quynh Luu 2, Quynh Luu 4 (Quynh Luu District), 1-5, Co Do (Nghia Dan District).

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 56 contestants with a total of 64 prizes; awarded prizes and presented Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to 4 groups that won "Weekly Competition Prizes" and 5 groups that won "Collective Prizes". These are units with a high number of contestants, good quality of contest entries and many individuals winning prizes in the 4 weeks of the competition.

Also at the ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented 100 helmets to 100 students of Do Luong 1 High School.
