Regarding road transport, Nghe An Department of Transport has granted automobile transport business licenses to 319 transport units with 14,200 vehicles.
Nghe An province has 16 bus stations managed and operated by 4 units. There are 26 transport units with 700 vehicles operating on 233 fixed passenger transport routes, including 184 inter-provincial routes (an increase of 52 routes compared to 2018), 42 intra-provincial routes (an increase of 10 routes compared to 2018) and 07 Vietnam-Laos inter-transport routes.
In 2019, the Department inspected and issued decisions to handle 840 violations. Specifically, including: Revoking the transport business license for 6 units; revoking the approval to operate fixed routes for 258 vehicles; revoking the badge and not reissuing it within 6 months for 17 vehicles; revoking the badge for a period of 1 month for 83 vehicles; warning and rectifying 740 vehicles.

Tighten transport activities
Discussing at the conference, transport units requested the Department to coordinate with relevant agencies to strictly handle the situation of illegal vehicles and contract vehicles with license plates from other provinces operating in transport business in Nghe An to ensure equality among all types of transport business.
