Promoting the role of youth union members in protecting the Party's ideological foundation

Enhance "resistance" for union members

As an active member of the Youth Union of Village 13, Nghi Hung Commune, Bui Van Nhan soon realized the role and significance of the youth union members in implementing action programs for the community. After the training process, in 2018, Bui Van Nhan was one of the outstanding members of Youth Union 13 selected to attend the Party sympathy class. From here, Nhan was nurtured, enhanced revolutionary spirit as well as cultivated political knowledge, trained the skills of a Party member in the new era. What he learned and experienced motivated Nhan to continue to inherit the good traditions of his ancestors and become a pioneer in protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

Not only Bui Van Nhan, in 2019, Nghi Loc District Youth Union reviewed and introduced 190 outstanding members to the Party for consideration, of which 129 members were admitted to the Party. This human resource plays an important role in propaganda and education activities on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws for local youth union members, raising awareness of the tasks of youth union members in the current period.

Determining that protecting the Party's ideological foundation must come from actions associated with specific work, Nghi Loc District Youth Union has widely and effectively organized three action movements including "Youth Volunteers", "Creative Youth", and "Youth Volunteers to Protect the Fatherland".

Accordingly, in 2019 alone, the whole district carried out 3 youth projects with a total value of 457 million VND; 30 communes and towns all had at least one project and a part of youth work, the total number of grassroots projects was 61 projects worth more than 400 million VND. Along with that, more than 5,000 cadres, union members, and young people of the district participated in building rural roads, supporting each other to start a business, planting trees along the roads, maintaining environmental sanitation, contributing with localities to promote socio-economic development, building a green, clean, and beautiful homeland. Through these activities, union members and young people have learned, self-cultivated, strived, and improved the quality of outstanding union members to introduce to the Party for consideration of admission.

In 2019, the entire Youth Union introduced 6,405 outstanding members to the Party for consideration of admission, of which 4,281 members were admitted to the Party. Youth Union chapters at all levels continued to replicate models and examples in the process of implementing directives, organizing youth to carry out many youth projects and tasks."Follow Uncle Ho's words"Implemented 5 provincial youth projects, 90 district youth projects and 986 grassroots youth projects and tasks.

Regarding activities on cyberspace, in recent times, youth unions at all levels have regularly disseminated laws on the use of social networks to young people, and established pages and groups on Facebook and Zalo to disseminate, gather, and grasp the thoughts and aspirations of this group. Along with that, they have increased the posting and sharing of positive information, aiming to build a team of youth union members who are active propagandists on cyberspace, not allowing bad forces to influence, entice, or incite.

Increasing the posting, propaganda and dissemination of good messages and good deeds on cyberspace, contributing to promoting the combined strength in protecting the Party, the State and the achievements of the revolution" - Comrade Chu Duc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union emphasized at the Conference summarizing the work of the union and youth movements in 2019.

Deploy topics related to practice

Realizing that the activities of the Youth Union are to create solidarity, gather union members and youth and be the place to organize and implement all the working policies of the Youth Union, recently, many Youth Unions in the Youth Union of Provincial Agencies have innovated the form of activities, integrating many meaningful topics.

Typically, with the topic "Learning about the history of the Party Committee of the Bloc", an activity to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc (September 22, 1954 - September 22, 2019), the Customs Department's Youth Union organized a thematic activity right at the historical location of Quang Son commune, Do Luong district - where the Party Committee of the Bloc was stationed during the resistance war against the US. Through this activity, the members better understood the tradition of the Party Committee in the stages of development with their homeland and country, thereby reminding themselves to constantly strive to practice and improve in life.

Also a unit with many innovations in thematic activities, the Youth Union of the Provincial Tax Department has implemented many activities related to the content of "studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology and morality". To improve the effectiveness of information transmission of the topic, the Youth Union invited lecturers from the Provincial Political School to discuss and answer questions from the Youth Union members. Along with that, in the thematic activities, the Youth Union also applied advances in science and technology to attract the attention of the Youth Union members. From those changes, over the past time, the Youth Union members of the Youth Union have acquired a lot of valuable knowledge, contributing to consolidating knowledge in the field of Party work.

Sharing about the above issue, comrade Nguyen Cong Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Provincial Agencies shared: "To improve the quality of activities at the Youth Union branches, 100% of the Youth Union of Provincial Agencies regularly organizes thematic activities, responding to the activities of the whole Youth Union launched by the Provincial Youth Union, in which many units are creative and innovative in the content and form of activities to attract union members to participate.

The activities of the Youth Union branches are no longer dry, contributing to the release of the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the members as well as contributing to the education and training of the youth, creating the premise for the youth movement in the whole bloc to be successfully implemented. From there, actively contributing to the cause of protecting, building and developing the country and protecting the ideological foundation of the Party and the achievements of the revolution.
