Exciting and friendly meeting between Nghe An province and the Association of fellow countrymen in Hanoi
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year 2020, Nghe An province coordinated with the Liaison Committee of Nghe An Fellow Countrymen Association in Hanoi to organize a meeting with leaders, former leaders, officials, and businessmen from Nghe An who are working and have retired in the capital.
The meeting took place on the morning of January 11 in Hanoi, organized by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province in coordination with the Liaison Committee of Nghe An Fellow Countrymen Association in Hanoi.

Many activities towards homeland
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Le Doan Hop - Chairman of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi emphasized the significance of the annual meeting between provincial leaders and the Nghe An Association in Hanoi; and discussed some outstanding activities of the association in 2019.

In 2019, the Nghe An Association in Hanoi organized many activities such as: Meeting the young generation of Nghe An people in Hanoi, generals, and businessmen of Nghe An to honor, educate the tradition and exchange with the children of Nghe An in Hanoi; honoring the children of Nghe An who are successful in various fields.
The association donated 10,000 books to Nghe An to equip the young generation with knowledge. Businesses in the Nghe An Association in Hanoi have many activities to support the province.
The Chairman of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi affirmed: With a heart always turned towards the homeland of Nghe An, the Association regularly makes meaningful contributions to build the province to develop more and more.

Regarding the orientation for 2020, the Chairman of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi emphasized 10 key tasks, continuing to be responsible for contributing in many fields to contribute to the construction and development of Nghe An according to long-term programs.
Specifically, the organization honored 58 individuals and 20 groups of Nghe An people who achieved high achievements in various fields; organized a talk between generals and heroes of Nghe An people and the young generation of Nghe An people in Hanoi; organized a celebration of Uncle Ho's birthday with the theme "Nghe An people outside the province with beloved Uncle Ho"; met with outstanding artists, generals, and veteran cadres who participated in pre-uprising activities who were Nghe An people in Hanoi; gave books to the young generation of Nghe An people....
On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of the province, speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy expressed his pleasure to meet the children of Nghe An living and working in the capital Hanoi.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also announced the province's socio-economic situation in 2019. Accordingly, in 2019, the province's socio-economic situation achieved comprehensive results in all fields.
Regarding economic development: Gross domestic product growth rate reached 9.03%; GRDP per capita reached 43.08 million VND. The economic structure shifted positively, the proportion of industry, construction and services in 2019 accounted for 78.64%. Mobilization of social investment capital increased sharply compared to previous years, estimated at 76 trillion VND.
Budget revenue exceeded the estimate, reaching 16,354 billion VND, the highest ever, of which domestic revenue was 14,649 billion VND, accounting for 89.8% of the revenue structure.

Since 2014, the province has attracted 165 projects with an investment level of over 100 billion VND/project, with a total investment capital of nearly 100 trillion VND. In 2019, the province granted 101 new projects, with a total registered capital of 13,266 billion VND; the total newly granted and increased capital was 14,652 billion VND.
The cultural and social fields have many positive changes, national defense, security and social order are maintained.
“The above results were achieved thanks to the timely attention and support of the Central Government, the efforts of all levels, sectors, business community and people in the province, and the very important contributions of Nghe An people living and working far from home, especially in the capital Hanoi, including the uncles, brothers and sisters present at this meeting” - the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized.

The provincial leaders would like to express their deep gratitude and appreciation for the important sentiments and contributions of the leaders, former leaders of the Party and State, the uncles, brothers and sisters in the Association of Fellow Countrymen in Hanoi, who have given to the province over the past time. Although working, doing business and living far from home, generations of Nghe An people always turn to their homeland.
“The success and reputation of Nghe An people in the capital as well as many other places is always a source of pride, spiritual support, valuable assets and great strength of the province. The material and spiritual contributions and support of the members of the Association have helped the Party Committee, government and people in the province confidently move forward on the past journey and in the coming time” - the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee respectfully expressed.
Accompanying the development of the province
At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy also informed the Nghe An Association in Hanoi of a number of key tasks in 2020 that the Party Committee, government and people of the province are focusing on leading and directing to implement well.
“To complete the set tasks, in addition to the efforts of the Party Committee, government and people in the province, we need more attention from Nghe An people living far from home, including our fellow countrymen in Hanoi,” the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that the Nghe An Association in Hanoi will continue to contribute experience and intelligence in helping the province plan long-term development policies; participate in contributing ideas to build the documents of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the period 2020 - 2025; Nghe An Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision 2045.
The Association continues to support the province in poverty reduction, social security; building new rural areas; supporting students and young people in Nghe An to start businesses and establish careers. Caring for and guiding generations to create a united, cohesive and developing Nghe An community in the capital Hanoi.

With their prestige and relationships, the Association's members act as a bridge to introduce and connect with scientists, intellectuals, and artists to help the province learn good experiences and effective development methods; advise and help the province approach and attract a number of businesses and strategic investors to do business in the province; at the same time, arrange time to attend, accompany, and help the province in promoting, calling for coordination, and organizing major events in 2020.
