Nghe An province delegation attends Vietnam - Japan Local Leaders Conference 2020
(Baonghean.vn) - From January 12-13, 2020, a delegation from Nghe An province attended the 2020 Vietnam - Japan Local Leaders' Conference in Da Nang.
The 2020 Vietnam - Japan Local Leaders Conference was attended by Mr. Nikai Toshihiro, Secretary General of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Chairman of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Union, along with more than 1,000 delegates, including members of the National Assembly, leaders of localities and Japanese businesses.

On the Vietnamese side, there were the participation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Pham Minh Chinh, along with leaders of the Party, Government, ministries, representatives of nearly 20 provinces and cities, and representatives of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Parliamentarians' Group.

The delegation of Nghe An province was led by Mr. Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Also participating were representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Tourism, Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Center.
Within the framework of the Conference, on the afternoon of January 12, the delegation of Nghe An province attended the signing ceremony and exchanged documents on Vietnam - Japan cooperation, and also attended the Vietnam - Japan Cultural, Economic and Tourism Exchange.
On the sidelines of the Conference, the Provincial Leaders had meetings with leaders of Japanese localities such as Hokkaido, Yamagata, some Japanese corporations and enterprises such as Mitsubishi, Fujitsu and Japanese international organizations such as JICA, JETRO... to promote cooperation activities between the two sides in the coming time.
