In Nghe An, remembering President Ho Chi Minh's call, the province annually launches tree-planting campaigns, planting hundreds of thousands of new trees each year. Densely populated areas and urban centers are gradually developing green spaces, raising the forest cover rate to 58%; forestry has become a key economic sector of the province.

In practical terms, following President Ho Chi Minh's call for tree planting during Tet, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that in the coming time, local Party committees and authorities should widely publicize the significance of Tet tree planting and forest protection among all segments of the population; organize tree planting in a cost-effective and efficient manner, suitable to local conditions, ensuring that every tree planted survives; strengthen the application of science, technology, and engineering in tree planting and reforestation; disseminate the Forestry Law among all segments of the population, linking reforestation with forest protection and fire prevention; and deepen and sustain the movement of "every household plants trees, every person plants trees"...
