The Secretariat directs: Festivals may be temporarily suspended to focus on fighting Wuhan pneumonia
The Secretariat's official dispatch requests Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front and people's organizations to seriously implement the Prime Minister's directive on preventing and fighting the corona virus.
On January 29, Comrade Tran Quoc Vuong - Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat signed Official Dispatch No. 79-CV/TW to: Provincial Party Committees, City Party Committees; Party committees, Party executive committees, Party delegations, Party committees directly under the Central Committee; Party committees of Central public service units on disease prevention and control.respiratory tract infectionlevelCoronaviruscause.
The document clearly states that currently, the acute respiratory disease caused by the new strain of Corona virus(nCoV)The outbreak occurred in China and has spread to 18 countries and territories.
This is a new, dangerous disease that can spread quickly. There is currently no vaccine or specific treatment for this disease.
Assessing the complicated situation of the epidemic, with a high possibility of spreading and breaking out. However, we must remain calm, coordinate closely, prevent and handle it accurately and effectively.
To proactively prevent and combat the epidemic, the Secretariat requests Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front and people's organizations at all levels to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement Directive No. 05/CT-TTg, dated January 28, 2020 of the Prime Minister on the prevention and combat of acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of Corona virus, and at the same time note the following contents:
1.Identifying the prevention and control of the epidemic caused by the new strain of Corona as a key and urgent task, it is necessary to focus on leadership and direction at all levels, sectors, the Fatherland Front, and people's organizations to urgently and drastically implement measures set forth by the Government and ministries and sectors, mobilizing the entire political system, armed forces, and all people to implement epidemic prevention and control measures.
Determined to control and prevent the spread of the epidemic, ensure economic and social development, social order and safety, stabilize people's lives and successfully organize party congresses at all levels.
2.The head of the Party Committee directly directs and is responsible for epidemic prevention and control work. Directs all levels and sectors to develop plans; prepare adequate facilities for prevention, isolation, and treatment; prepare adequate medical equipment, medicines, and protective gear for the people; ensure adequate funding and human resources for epidemic prevention and control work according to the on-site motto: Prevention, isolation, and treatment on-site; facilities, equipment, medicines, and protective gear as required on-site; on-site funding; on-site human resources.
3.Develop prevention and control plans according to each level of epidemic spread, thoroughly implement and comply with preventive and isolation measures as required by specialized agencies.If necessary, temporarily suspend mass gatherings, festivals, conferences, and seminars to focus (top priority) on epidemic prevention and control.
4.Lead and direct communication work to every cadre, party member and people so that everyone clearly understands the dangerous nature and serious harm of the epidemic caused by the new strain of Corona, and provides timely and accurate information to raise awareness, consciousness and responsibility for people to take preventive measures.
Prepare for yourself, your family and your community. Fight against and strictly handle organizations and individuals who provide inaccurate information, causing confusion and affecting people's lives.
5.The Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations from the central to local levels are responsible for disseminating and propagating to raise people's awareness to synchronously implement solutions to prevent and combat the epidemic caused by the new strain of Corona, promoting the role and responsibility of each person in protecting and improving their own health and that of the community.
6.The Central Propaganda Department focuses on directing press agencies to strengthen propaganda on the prevention and control of the epidemic caused by the new strain of Corona, providing complete, accurate and timely information. Directing agencies to strictly handle violations of information on disease prevention and control.

Vietnam establishes rapid response team to combat coronavirus pneumonia
On January 28, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc signed and issued Directive No. 05/CT-TTg on the prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of Corona virus; in which it requires the immediate establishment of a Rapid Response Team, and the Ministry of Health to report daily to the Prime Minister.
