Famous temple in Thanh Chuong burned down at night
(Baonghean.vn) - A fire broke out overnight, causing serious damage to Duc Thanh Hai Temple in Thanh Xuan Commune (Thanh Chuong) - a provincial-level historical and cultural relic.
At around 11pm on February 10, a fire broke out at Duc Thanh Hai Temple in Phu Lap Hamlet, Thanh Xuan Commune (Thanh Chuong), damaging the altar and some wooden furniture in the lower house.

Initial cause suspected due to electrical short circuit.
After receiving the news, the local authorities of Thanh Xuan commune mobilized the militia and local people to promptly extinguish the fire. After nearly 3 hours, the fire was extinguished.
Mr. Nguyen Khanh Thanh - Chairman of Thanh Xuan Commune People's Committee said that the roof, the crane, and some pillars of the temple were severely damaged by the fire, with an estimated loss of about 600 million VND.
Immediately after the incident, the Commune People's Committee sent a written report to relevant departments and branches.
It is known that Duc Thanh Hai Temple is a provincial-level historical and cultural relic and a famous spiritual site in Thanh Chuong district.
