Nghe An promotes the role of young party members after discharge
(Baonghean) - Every year, Nghe An has thousands of young people joining the army; many of them are later admitted into the Party. After completing their service and returning to their hometowns, they become the core members at the grassroots level, contributing to creating consensus between the Party Committee, the government and the people in building their homeland.
Participate in Party and government building
Growing up in the military environment, in May 2008, Tran Anh Duc (born in 1985) was one of the outstanding young men of Thanh Thinh commune (Thanh Chuong) who was honored to join the Party during his military service. Aware of his responsibility, Tran Anh Duc soon showed his determination to strive and train to excellently complete his study and combat training tasks. At the end of 2008, he was discharged from the army and transferred his Party activities to the Duc Thinh village Party cell; becoming one of the young, proactive and energetic Party members at the Party cell where he resided.

From the experiences and knowledge acquired during his military training, Tran Anh Duc quickly approached the Party's guidelines and policies to work with the Party Committee and Party cell to issue resolutions that closely met the needs of the people in socio-economic development in the area. With the motto of becoming an effective propaganda and mobilization channel for the people, especially the youth union members and young people in the area, he volunteered to take on the role of Youth Union Secretary and Village Team Leader. Since then, movements and campaigns to study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh or "Youth join hands to build new countryside" have been gradually and effectively implemented in the area. Through these activities, he and the Party cell have trained many outstanding Youth Union members to join the Party. Of which, 5 Party members are currently undertaking many important tasks in the locality.
In 2018, elected as Deputy Secretary of the village Party cell, Mr. Tran Anh Duc gradually demonstrated his role by effectively mobilizing people to clear land for rural roads, implementing the "Lighting up the countryside" movement and contributing to the construction of the village cultural house. Not only mobilizing people living in the locality, he also connected with children working far from home to call for support. Therefore, after only a short time, 15/15 criteria for building new rural areas of the village were completed with more than 600 million VND mobilized from the socialized fund. That is a solid premise for the people of Duc Thinh village to affirm their position in the process of building a new life.

It is also known that Thanh Thinh commune has contributed young party members out of a total of 110 party members after being discharged from the army in Thanh Chuong district who are making every effort to build the Party and government where they live. These are important nuclei to become a bridge between the Party Committee, the government and the people to join hands to develop the locality more and more.
"Locomotive" of economic development
On the green Con Thi field stretching out with many kinds of vegetables and fruits that are popular in the market, young party member Tran Van Vinh happily said that this is the result of the people's efforts in land consolidation, plot exchange, and finding ways to increase the value of agricultural production in Quyet Thang village, Giang Son Tay commune (Do Luong). Contributing to this effort, Tran Van Vinh played a significant role after returning to his hometown after being discharged from the army.
In May 2013, Tran Van Vinh (born in 1993) was one of the outstanding young men of the 3rd Guard Battalion, General Staff of Military Region 4, who was admitted to the Party. He soon demonstrated his determination to train and strive seriously during his training at the unit. In 2014, he was discharged from the army and returned to his hometown and transferred to the Party Cell of Quyet Thang village, Giang Son Tay commune (Do Luong).

Witnessing the difficult life of his hometown, Mr. Tran Van Vinh always asked himself the question of how to help the villagers escape poverty. To take the lead in testing a new economic direction, in 2015, from an area of more than 1 hectare of rice fields after land consolidation and plot exchange, he started to improve the land to bring vegetable varieties that are popular in the market such as green squash, pumpkin, cucumber... to the rice fields of Con Thi for cultivation.
When the output was stable, he encouraged people to improve the land to access new crops such as milkweed, biomass corn, etc. to serve livestock or sell to cattle factories. He also proactively posted and introduced local agricultural products on social networking sites to connect with small traders in and outside the district.
The determination of young party member Tran Van Vinh has added confidence and motivation to union members, youth as well as villagers to boldly follow.

In 2018, more than 70 households in Quyet Thang village participated in the vegetable growing model and carried out hill land improvement to expand livestock farming. From here, it has opened a sustainable way out of poverty for people to get rich on their homeland.
Looking at the Youth Union chapters of the whole province, outstanding grassroots party members such as Tran Anh Duc and Tran Van Vinh have appeared more and more. In recent times, the work of accompanying and supporting young people after demobilization, especially young party members participating in Party building, government building and establishing their careers in the locality has always been of interest and importance. In particular, the model of the Youth Union branch secretary and village team leader has initially achieved effectiveness. This combination is both to implement the military rear policy and at the same time select cadres who have been tested and trained, thereby bringing high efficiency from gathering forces, mobilizing union members and people to grasping the security and order situation in the area. At the same time, the work of registering and managing core militia, male citizens of military age, and citizens of military age participating in the militia and self-defense force at the grassroots level has also been effectively implemented.

According to the statistics of the Organizing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, the province currently has over 170,000 members, including nearly 20,000 party members of the Youth Union age, many of whom were recruited during their military training. In order to mobilize and encourage this force to contribute their youth to their homeland, many young party members after being discharged from the army take on the roles of Youth Union Branch Secretaries and Deputy Youth Union Branch Secretaries and Village Team Leaders. Along with programs to transfer science and technology, and support capital for young people to establish themselves and start a business in the process of local economic development, the number of young party members after being discharged from the army is increasingly taking on important positions in their places of residence, demonstrating their role as excellent young party members at the grassroots level.
