(Baonghean.vn) - A fishing boat was sailing at sea. When the ship owner woke up the crew to work, he discovered that a crew member was missing.

On February 20, the People's Committee of Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu, Nghe An) said that a fishing boat with license plate NA 94439, with a capacity of over 700 CV, owned by Mr. Dao Van Hung in Quynh Long commune, fell into the sea and went missing on the morning of February 20.

The fishing boat departed from Lach Quen port at 11 p.m. on February 19 and ran until about 4 a.m. on February 20. When the ship owner woke up the crew to work, crew member Pham Van Nam was nowhere to be found.

Immediately afterwards, the fishing boat owner reported to Lach Quen Border Guard Station, Quynh Thuan Commune to ask the authorities to search. Currently, because the time the crew member fell into the sea and went missing has not been determined, the family and the Commune People's Committee have requested to expand the search area to 10 nautical miles from shore and a distance of 30 - 40 nautical miles, near Hon Me Island.

Crew member Pham Van Nam, born in 1987, has a wife and 2 young children living in Dai Tan hamlet, Quynh Long commune, Quynh Luu.

As of 12 noon today, although authorities and friendly boats are trying to search, there have been no results./.
