Appointment of Political Commissar and Party Secretary of Coast Guard Region 1
Colonel Tran Van Rong - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Coast Guard was appointed to the position of Political Commissar and Party Secretary of Coast Guard Region 1.
Under the chairmanship of Lieutenant General Hoang Van Dong - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard, the Party Committee and Command of Coast Guard Region 1 held a conference to hand over the responsibilities and tasks of the Political Commissar and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Region.

Colonel Tran Van Rong - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Coast Guard was appointed to the position of Political Commissar and Secretary of the Party Committee of Coast Guard Region 1, replacing Major General Nguyen Van Thang who retired according to the regime.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Coast Guard Party Committee, Lieutenant General Hoang Van Dong requested that, in his new position and responsibility, Colonel Tran Van Rong, together with the Standing Committee and the Party Committee of Coast Guard Region 1, continue to promote the achievements and results that have been achieved, focus on leading and directing agencies and units to perform well the assigned tasks; focusing on doing a good job of directing Party committees at all levels in the entire Region Command to successfully organize the Party Congress of their level.
Continue to effectively implement and create clear changes in the content of building a regular and disciplined system, training discipline associated with the theme "Discipline and order" in 2020 of the entire army... contributing to building a "Revolutionary, regular, elite, modern, highly professional" Coast Guard force, excellently completing assigned tasks.

The Coast Guard Region 1 Command is under the Vietnam Coast Guard Command and is an independent Coast Guard Command that operates to manage and protect the Gulf of Tonkin in Vietnam, from the Bac Luan River mouth (Quang Ninh) to Con Co Island (Quang Tri).
