Focus on resolving complicated and prolonged cases and incidents in Nghe An

Assessing the work in February, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee has completed a report assessing the results and situation of 1 year of implementing Directive No. 27-CT/TW dated January 10, 2019 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership in protecting whistleblowers, whistleblowers, and those fighting against corruption, waste, and negativity, and sent it to the Central Internal Affairs Committee.

In addition, the Internal Affairs Committee also advised the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on the direction for handling the proposal of the People's Committee of Con Cuong district related to the case of violating regulations on forest exploitation and protection and forest products occurring at Pu Mat National Park, Mon Son commune; and gave opinions on the proposal of the People's Committee of Que Phong district related to the case of Mr. Ho Ba Rua, a former teacher at Tri Le 4 Primary School, Tri Le commune, who violated the law on illegal transportation of goods.

During the month, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee received 25 citizens with 91 petitions; processed 91 petitions, complaints, denunciations, and reflections, of which 18 petitions were forwarded to competent authorities for consideration and processing, 4 petitions were guided by citizens, and 69 petitions were kept. The organization worked with 1 citizen to clarify the content of the petition.

In addition, the conference also discussed and gave opinions on the handling of complaints, denunciations and law violations occurring in the province. Typical cases include lawsuits by a number of households related to the National Highway 1A Upgrade and Expansion Project; the case of enforcement of judgment on auctioned assets in Do Luong district; the case of land violations in Phuc Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district; the case related to violations of regulations on management and use of state assets, causing loss and waste occurring at the Bac Nghe An Protective Forest Management Board; the case of lack of responsibility causing serious consequences related to compensation and site clearance for the Nghi Kim and Nghi Van drainage canal project, phase 1; the violation occurring at the Truong Son residential cluster construction project in Cua Nam ward, Vinh city; the case of violations in compensation and site clearance for the implementation of the Vinh Ancient Citadel Project; The case of inspection of violations in the project to build a commercial complex and luxury apartments in Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city, invested by Minh Khang Company Limited...

For cases that have been prolonged and slow to be resolved, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested relevant authorities to explain and speed up the handling process, such as the case of violating regulations on forest exploitation and protection, lack of responsibility causing serious consequences occurring in the protective forest area in Na Ngoi commune and the protective forest area in Nam Can commune, Ky Son district.

The conference also assessed the work of the departments, branches and sectors of the Internal Affairs Sector in February and oriented the work tasks in March. It is necessary to focus on ensuring security and safety for important events of the province; propagating and handling issues related to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; handling complicated issues arising from the grassroots; continuing to launch attacks and sweeps of all types of crimes, especially murder, human trafficking, black credit, and eliminating drug rings. Strengthening the prevention and control of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods and food hygiene and safety.
