Minister of Planning and Investment surveyed 3 key transport projects in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 6, during the working program in Nghe An, comrade Nguyen Chi Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Planning and Investment, and the working delegation directly surveyed 3 key and dynamic traffic projects in Nghe An.

Also going to Nghe An province were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches.

Minister Nguyen Chi Dung surveyed and listened to progress reports on the Vinh - Cua Lo road project, as well as the planning of functional zones on both sides.

This is an important route connecting Vinh City and Cua Lo Town with a length of 10.8 km and a width of 95 m. Currently, 9.8/10.8 km of land has been cleared and the contractor has cleared 9.8 km of the ground; 8.6 km/9.8 km of asphalt concrete; 2/2 bridges and 46/57 culverts have been built; 515/665 lighting pole foundations have been built. Currently, Nghe An is focusing on directing the clearance of 1 km of the section through Vinh City.

Next, comrade Nguyen Chi Dung inspected the progress of the Cua Hoi Bridge Project across Lam River connecting Cua Lo town, Nghe An and Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province.

The project has a total investment of 950 billion VND, of which the government bond capital is 450 billion VND, the local budget is 500 billion VND (Nghe An and Ha Tinh, each province 250 billion VND). The total length of the bridge and route is 5,271 km. The project started on February 15, 2019, with a construction progress of 18 months.

Reporting to the Minister and the working delegation, the representative of the leadership of Project Management Board 6 of the Ministry of Transport said that up to this point, the project is on schedule, reaching about 60%. The consulting agency is supervising the acceptance and supervision of the work very seriously.

Responding to the Minister's question about the project's progress, a representative of Project Management Board 6 said that they are striving to complete the bridge in September, before the Provincial Party Congress, and will complete and put it into use by the end of 2020.

Next, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung also heard a report on the progress of the coastal road project, from the intersection of National Highway 46 to Provincial Road 535 with a length of 7.5 km. The starting point intersects with National Highway 46 in Nghi Loc district, the end point intersects with Provincial Road 535 in Cua Hoi area.

The project belongs to group B, designed according to the standards of a grade III plain road with a roadbed width of 12m. The total investment of the project is 521 billion VND. Of which, the central budget capital is 260 billion VND, the local budget capital is 261 billion VND.

Director of Nghe An Department of Transport Hoang Phu Hien said: Currently, site clearance work is being carried out, of which 6.1/7.5 km of agricultural land has been inventoried; the remaining 1.4 km is residential land and the province has planned resettlement land for relocation.

Regarding the capital source for the project, the central budget has allocated 125 billion VND, and the Nghe An local budget has allocated excess revenue. After listening to the report and understanding the project situation, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung agreed to allocate enough central budget capital, while requesting the province to allocate enough local budget and resolutely implement the project to complete the route at the same time as the inauguration of Cua Hoi bridge.
