Faced with the complicated developments of the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic in recent days, the National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Acute Respiratory Infections Caused by the New Coronavirus (Covid-19) affirmed that the fight against the epidemic has entered phase 2 and raised the warning level one step higher.

Implementing the Government's drastic policy on epidemic prevention, on March 8, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to comprehensively assess the situation of Covid-19 epidemic prevention in the area.

Based on the reality and the reports and proposals of the Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments and branches, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 5529-CV/TU dated March 9, 2020 directing the work of preventing and controlling the Covid-19 epidemic.
Specific content of the document:
1. Continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the documents of the National Steering Committee on Covid-19 prevention and control, with the spirit of "fighting the epidemic like fighting the enemy", mobilizing the participation of the entire political system and people, promoting, synchronously and drastically implementing epidemic prevention measures; especially focusing on propaganda to raise awareness of self-prevention and participation in epidemic prevention of cadres, party members and people; grasp information from people to closely monitor and manage the situation.
2. Focus on epidemic hygiene and disinfection in crowded places, prioritizing urgent areas with high risk of spreading the epidemic. Implement quarantine in accordance with the instructions, procedures and guidance of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control. Proactively prepare response plans when an epidemic occurs.
3. Carry out information and propaganda work well; provide complete and accurate information on the epidemic situation, and guide people on epidemic prevention measures so that they can self-prevent and participate in epidemic prevention.
4. Temporarily postpone events and meetings that gather large crowds in the province. Kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools continue to arrange for students to stay home until an appropriate time.
5. Organize screening and make a list of people who have been in contact with people returning from epidemic areas, especially those who entered Vietnam on March 2, 2020 on Vietnam Airlines flight VN0054 to implement epidemic prevention measures according to the instructions of specialized agencies. At the same time, deploy epidemic prevention work in relevant agencies, units and locations.
Leaders of agencies and units increase the use of information technology to manage work, ensuring work proceeds normally according to programs and plans.
