Nghe An Department of Education and Training proposes to let students continue to stay home from school
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of March 11, the Department of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 399/SGD&DT-VP requesting opinions for preschool, primary and secondary school students in the whole province to continue to stay home from school to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.
Accordingly, based on the new developments of the Covid-19 epidemic in Nghe An and in some localities across the country, in order to continue to effectively implement the work of disease prevention and control and ensure the health of students, the Department of Education and Training requests the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on continuing to let preschool, primary and secondary school students in the province stay home from school until March 22, 2020. High school students will still follow the current documents.

Regarding student learning, according to the original plan, from the beginning of next week (March 16), preschool, primary and secondary school students across the province will return to school after 5 weeks off to prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic.
Previously, the school schedule for middle school students was also postponed for 1 week because the Covid-19 epidemic had many complicated changes.
Thus, if this plan is approved, high school students in the province will continue to go to school. However, students in Vinh city, Nam Dan district and some other localities that are currently on local break will continue to stay home from school until further notice.
Since students are still on extended vacation, the Department of Education and Training has also planned to teach online review lessons for 9th and 12th graders on television. This plan is currently being developed to request approval from the province.
