After returning to Hanoi on March 9, the flight attendant felt tired and asked for leave. On the morning of March 11, the flight attendant proactively went to the hospital for testing and quarantine.

On March 12, 2020, after the flight attendant's test results were announced, Vietnam Airlines immediately isolated and reported to the authorities a list of pilots, flight attendants, ground staff and passengers involved for timely handling. The entire working area of the Flight Attendant Group in the North was also disinfected immediately afterwards.

Other areas such as seats, carpets, floors and anywhere passengers can touch are also treated.

Vietnam Airlines representative said that the disinfectant solution is Disinfection Spraying CH2200, used according to the standards of functional medical units, approved by aircraft manufacturers for use on aircraft and does not affect passenger health.
