Covid-19 case 122 returned from Thailand and had contact with a friend from Nghi Loc - Nghe An
At 7:00 p.m. on March 23, the Ministry of Health announced one more case of Covid-19 in Da Nang, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases in Vietnam to 122.
The Da Nang Center for Disease Control reported the results of monitoring the case of a patient being quarantined at the National Defense Education Center - Military Region V who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus. The patient is a female, 24 years old, Vietnamese nationality, from Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province.
The patient is a bar employee in Bangkok (Thailand) who came into contact with many people who did not wear masks.
On March 17, the patient went to a bar in Bangkok to visit a friend (from Nghi Loc - Nghe An; this person is currently being quarantined in Huong Son - Ha Tinh).
On March 20, the patient took a taxi to Suvarnabhumi International Airport - Thailand. At 11:00 a.m. the same day, the patient boarded flight number TG947 (seat 20D) arriving at Da Nang International Airport at 12:20 p.m. the same day. At 2:00 p.m. the same day, the patient was taken by quarantine vehicle to the National Defense Education Center (room number 17).
On March 21 and 22, the patient lived normally in the quarantine area. The Da Nang City Center for Disease Control took samples for testing and the test results were positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Thus, up to this point, this is the 9th Covid-19 case announced by the Ministry of Health on March 23. Among these 9 cases, there is a doctor working in the Emergency Department at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
The total number of Covid-19 cases nationwide has now been recorded at 122, of which 17 have been cured. Of the 17 cured cases, 16 have been discharged from the hospital, one is the 18th patient who has tested negative three times, no longer has a cough or fever, is completely healthy and has been transferred from Ninh Binh General Hospital to Thai Binh General Hospital for health monitoring.
The remaining 105 patients are currently being isolated and treated at 14 medical facilities nationwide, including patients being treated at district medical centers (British patient number 73 is currently being treated at Thanh Mien District Medical Center - Hai Duong province).
