(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Dang Viet Khoi - 1 of 3 victims who died in a fire at a factory in Taichung City (Taiwan) is a worker from Nghe An.

Over the past two days, on the Facebook pages of the “Vietnamese Community in Taiwan”, information has been posted that three Vietnamese workers died in a fire on the morning of March 22 at a factory in Taichung City (Taiwan).

Speaking with reporters, Mr. Hoang Trung Thong - Secretary of the Nghi Phuong Commune Party Committee (Nghi Loc) confirmed that Mr. Dang Viet Khoi, one of the three victims who died in the fire on March 22 at a factory in Taichung City (Taiwan), was a citizen of Nghi Phuong Commune.

Dang Viet Khoi (born in 1995) is the second child in a family of two siblings, residing in Hamlet 4, Nghi Phuong Commune, Nghi Loc District. Khoi is not married and has been working in Taichung City (Taiwan) for 4 years until the tragic accident happened.

It is known that the factory where the Vietnamese workers were working had 2 floors, in which the lower floor was the workshop and the upper floor was where the Vietnamese workers rested. At the time of the fire, all 3 Vietnamese workers were sleeping on the upper floor, which led to their tragic deaths.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by authorities in Taichung City.
