Concluding the meeting, the Prime Minister announced the good news that the campaign to support the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic has so far received 305 billion VND in both cash and in-kind donations from organizations and individuals, with 60 billion VND in text messages sent to 1407. "This is the cause of the entire people, the people support us a lot, even businesses that are currently facing difficulties are joining hands and efforts to protect people's health," said the Prime Minister.

The next 10-15 days will decide the success or failure in fighting the Covid-19 epidemic. The Prime Minister emphasized that all levels, sectors, and the political system have made great efforts. "If we are already determined and strict, we will be even more determined and stricter. We must uphold our sense of responsibility to the Party and the people." We must succeed, not fail, and not let the epidemic spread exponentially, with many people infected and dying in Vietnam.

Regarding urgent and temporary measures during the new phase of the epidemic, the Prime Minister stated that consensus, joint efforts, seriousness and determination in prevention, especially coordination among the people, in each street, each apartment building, each house and each citizen are very important.

The Prime Minister requested the closure of unnecessary services to minimize large gatherings. He requested that places of worship not gather in large numbers and asked localities to strictly remind people about this issue.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Minister of Public Security directed to "go to every alley, knock on every door", requesting the Police to provide information on cases returning from abroad since March 8, 2020 to identify close contacts for classification, testing, and quarantine.

Regarding the procurement of epidemic prevention equipment, the Prime Minister assigned the Steering Committee to review and handle the procurement in a spirit of openness, transparency, timeliness, and speed while fighting embezzlement and corruption.

The Ministry of Health outlined the overall budget to report to the authorities. The Prime Minister agreed to expand socialization and voluntary contributions in centralized quarantine conditions. Regarding centralized quarantine at hotels, priority will be given to foreigners and paid for by foreign units and individuals.

Domestic flights and railways must also be checked, and passenger cars must also have measures to prevent disease transmission.

The Ministry of Health shall promptly develop plans to purchase and use more timely testing methods and report to the Head of the Steering Committee. The Ministry of Health shall be responsible for promptly implementing rapid testing in quarantine areas and in the community to screen people infected with Covid-19, minimizing the risk of infection.

If domestic testing machines and test kits ensure quality, focus on purchasing domestic products to serve epidemic prevention work.

Based on the current situation of entry and centralized quarantine, the Ministry of Health will give specific opinions to the Ministry of National Defense and allocate to localities the number of facilities and the number of people in centralized quarantine for proactive implementation.

“Vietnam is persistent in the principles of epidemic prevention: prevention, detection, isolation, and containment,” said the Prime Minister. Cases of failure to isolate, failure to declare, and causing consequences will be strictly handled and criminally prosecuted. The health sector is responsible for introducing common treatment regimens for training in localities.
