Covid-19 test results of the dead girl in Quy Hop
(Baonghean.vn) - Ms. H passed away due to a serious illness, not Covid-19 as rumored.
Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of Nghe An Province Center for Disease Control informed: The Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology has just announced the Covid-19 test results of Ms. VTH (24 years old, residing in Chau Ly commune, Quy Hop district) - who passed away on the morning of March 25, 2020. Accordingly, Ms. H's sample was negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
As reported by Nghe An Newspaper: On the morning of March 25, Ms. VTH passed away after a period of treatment at the hospital. Ms. H went to work as a factory worker in Bac Ninh and returned home on March 19. On March 22, H showed signs of illness and went to the local hospital to get an IV.
On March 24, H vomited blood and was taken by her family to a local clinic, then transferred to the Northwest Regional General Hospital for treatment. At 10 p.m. on March 24, H was released from the hospital and died at 3 a.m. on March 25... Before and after her death, rumors appeared on social media that H had Covid-19.
Speaking with Nghe An Newspaper this morning, Dr. Tang Viet Ha - Director of the Northwest Regional General Hospital said: "The cause of Ms. H's death was a cerebral hemorrhage due to a cerebral vascular malformation."
Doctor Thai Phan At - Director of Quy Hop District Medical Center said: "The information that Ms. H had Covid-19 is fabricated and inaccurate. Before and after Ms. H died, the district health agency conducted an epidemiological investigation, through which we found that there was no connection to Covid-19."
However, in order not to be subjective in any situation, the Northwest Regional General Hospital has coordinated with the Provincial Center for Disease Control to collect samples and send them to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for testing. The Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Quy Hop District and Chau Ly Commune has guided and supported the family in disinfecting and preventing infection”./.
