Number of nCoV infections up to 163, 3 cases related to patients in Bach Mai
Vietnam has just recorded 10 new cases, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases in Vietnam to 163. Among them, 3 cases are related to patient 133 in Bach Mai.
The Ministry of Health said,tAs of 6 p.m. on March 27, Vietnam recorded 10 new cases, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases in Vietnam to 163. 4 of these 10 patients are foreigners who entered Vietnam between March 21 and March 23, 2020, and were quarantined immediately upon entry. 3 of the foreigners had close contact with Covid-19 patients at Buddha Bar in Ho Chi Minh City. The remaining 3 cases are related to patient 133 at Bach Mai Hospital (Hanoi).

Case 154 (BN154):The female patient, Vietnamese nationality, 23 years old, with an address in Hong Hai ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh, has been studying in the UK since 2018. On March 22, 2020, the patient flew from London (UK) to Can Tho on Vietnam Airlines flight number VN0050, seat number 12C - the same flight as patient 145. Upon entry, the patient reported having symptoms of fever, cough, difficulty breathing, nausea and was transferred to the centralized quarantine area at Can Tho Military School. On March 24, 2020, the patient had a fever so she was transferred to Can Tho Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Hospital for testing and isolation treatment.
Case 155 (BN155):The patient is a 21-year-old female Vietnamese national residing in Trung village, An Thi town, Hung Yen province. She is a student at Huddersfield University (UK). On March 22, 2020, she flew from London (UK) to Can Tho on Vietnam Airlines flight number VN0050, seat number 2K - the same flight as patient 145. Upon entry, the patient showed no signs of illness and was transferred to a centralized quarantine area at the Bac Lieu Provincial Military School (in Gia Rai town).
At the quarantine area, the patient was sampled for testing. At the time of sample collection and until now, the patient has not shown any symptoms of the disease. The patient and 01 roommate at the centralized quarantine area have been transferred to Bac Lieu Provincial General Hospital for isolation and monitoring.
Case 156 (BN156):The patient is a 21-year-old male Vietnamese national residing in Ward 7, Tra Vinh City, a student in the UK. On March 22, 2020, he flew from London (UK) to Can Tho on Vietnam Airlines flight number VN0050, seat number 23G - the same flight as patient 145. Upon entry, the patient showed no signs of illness and was transferred to a centralized quarantine area at the Bac Lieu Provincial Military School.
At the quarantine area, the patient was sampled for testing. At the time of sample collection and until now, the patient has not shown any symptoms of the disease. The patient and 01 roommate at the centralized quarantine area have been transferred to Bac Lieu Provincial General Hospital for isolation and monitoring.
Case 157 (BN157):The patient is a 31-year-old female British national, an Eschool - Eclass teacher, currently residing on Ton Dan Street, Ward 13, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City. The patient had contact with a positive case at Buddha Bar. Currently, the patient has no symptoms of the disease and is being quarantined and monitored at Cu Chi Field Hospital.
Case 158 (BN158):The patient is a male, Brazilian, 45 years old, occupation - technician, currently residing on Street 42, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. The patient had contact with a positive case at Buddha Bar on March 14, 2020. Currently, the patient has no symptoms of the disease and is being isolated and monitored at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City.
Case 159 (BN159):The patient is a 33-year-old male Brazilian national currently residing in Thanh My Loi Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. The patient had contact with a positive case at Buddha Bar on March 14, 2020. Currently, the patient has no symptoms of the disease and is being isolated and monitored at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City.
Case 160 (BN160):The patient is a female, Vietnamese, 30 years old, residing in Loc Phat ward, Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province. Since March 20, 2020, she has had a sore throat, dry cough, and no fever. One month ago, the patient was in Madrid (Spain) and had contact with her sister who had Covid-19. On March 22, 2020, she flew back to Vietnam on flight SU2605 from Madrid to Moscow; and flight SU292 from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh City. The patient was taken to quarantine and treatment at Can Gio Covid-19 Treatment Hospital.
Case 161 (BN161):Female patient, 88 years old, residing in Tan Quang, Van Lam, Hung Yen. From March 17, the patient had a headache and was in a coma. She was taken to Pho Noi Hospital, Hung Yen for a CT scan with a diagnosis of cerebral hemorrhage and cerebral ventricles. The patient was transferred to Bach Mai Hospital, located in the Voluntary Treatment Room, Department of Neurology, in the same room as Patient 133 from March 17-22, 2020.
After 9 days of treatment, the patient's condition improved, but the left side of his body remained weak. On March 24, Bach Mai Hospital took a sample for testing and on March 25, the result was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient was transferred to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, branch 2.
Case 162 (BN162):Female patient, 63 years old, daughter-in-law of patient 161, residing in Thuong Thanh, Long Bien, Hanoi. Patient was admitted to take care of patient 161. Current health status: normal, no symptoms. Date of admission: March 25, 2020. Place of treatment: Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, branch 2. First test result of Bach Mai Hospital on March 25: positive for SARS-CoV-2. On March 26, 2020, the test of the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology reaffirmed this result.
Case 163 (BN163):Female patient, 43 years old (niece of patient 161), residing in Thuong Thanh, Long Bien, Hanoi. Occupation: catering staff at Petroleum Company Region 1. Patient took care of patient 161. Current health status: normal, no symptoms. Date of admission: March 25, 2020. Place of treatment: Duc Giang Hospital. Test result on March 26 by Hanoi Center for Disease Control: Positive for SARS-CoV-2.
According to information from the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment under the Ministry of Health, Covid-19 patients are being treated at 20 medical facilities nationwide. To date, 48 cases have tested negative from 1 to 4 times. On March 27, three patients treated in Da Nang were discharged from the hospital: two British people (patients 22 and 23) continue to be quarantined and monitored for their health in Son Tra District. Patient 35, a female employee of Dien May Xanh supermarket, is being quarantined and monitored for her health at home for 14 days.
Up to now, Vietnam has recorded 163 cases of Covid-19, of which 20 cases have recovered./.
