(Baonghean.vn) - Two women in the mountains, one disabled and living alone, and one from a poor family, still quietly sew masks every night, contributing to helping people in the countryside prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic.
Do good deeds according to God's word
These days, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu (born in 1977) in Hamlet 4, Tuong Son Commune (Anh Son) often stays up late. Because after sewing clothes for customers, she takes the time to sit down and cut and sew masks so that the Women's Union can promptly distribute them for free to people in the village and commune.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu was born with a congenital disability, her leg muscles were not developed, and one foot was contracted, making it very difficult for her to walk. At a time when ready-made garments are sold everywhere in markets and shops, the tailoring profession is facing many difficulties.

Her income is just enough to cover her daily needs and pay for the rent of her business kiosk, and also to support her elderly parents. Life is hard and her health is not guaranteed, but when the Women's Union of the hamlet came to mobilize her to participate in sewing masks to distribute for free to the people, Ms. Dieu happily accepted.
Ms. Dieu shared: “I am a Catholic, God always advises his followers to do good and charitable deeds, so I think sewing masks and giving them out for free at this time is following his advice.”
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Van - President of the Women's Union of Tuong Son commune, in the past few days, Ms. Dieu has sewn nearly 200 masks to distribute for free to people in the commune. In addition, she also donated 2 square meters of fabric to cut and sew masks and lent a sewing machine for the women in the association to sew together.
Repay a part of life's grace
Ms. Vu Thi Huong in hamlet 1/5, Cam Son commune (Anh Son) has a husband and two young daughters. However, the family's current financial situation is extremely poor, the small house of the couple is currently made of bamboo walls and a thatched and corrugated iron roof.
The reason is that the first daughter was born prematurely and was in poor health. In the early days, she was often hospitalized, so the couple had to take turns taking care of her and had no time to take care of her.

Ms. Huong used to be a garment worker in Binh Duong, but due to family circumstances, she had to return to her husband's hometown in Anh Son district to live. When she returned home, she brought a sewing machine to serve the needs of repairing clothes of the villagers. Although it was not much, this job also helped her earn a little extra income during her off-season.
Currently, Ms. Huong’s family’s main source of income is agriculture, mainly growing rice, corn and tea. Late at night these days, people in the neighborhood still see her house with the lights on, the woman still diligently staying up at the sewing machine to sew masks.
