(Baonghean.vn) - Before she had even sold all her fish, Ms. NO posted information that "the market is closed," causing great panic among local residents, who rushed to buy food to stock up.
On the afternoon of March 30th, Mr. Nguyen Huu Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoi Son commune (Anh Son district), stated that the commune's police had summoned a woman residing in the area to clarify and handle her actions of posting false information on social media.

Earlier, at around 6:50 PM on March 28th, Ms. NO (residing in Hoi Son commune) shared on social media: "The market is closed. Due to requests from friends and relatives, I'm selling fish for the last time this afternoon before taking a break from the pandemic. I still have a few snakehead fish and one rather large carp left; if anyone wants them tomorrow, I'll ship them to your home."
After the information was published, many people were extremely confused and worried; many rushed to buy food to stockpile.
Upon receiving the information, on the morning of March 30th, the commune's police summoned the woman for questioning and warned her about posting false information.
Working with the police, Ms. NO admitted: Because she hadn't sold all the fish she caught from her family's pond, and the market was already getting late, she posted the information online simply to sell the fish.
The woman has now removed the post and published a correction regarding the incident.
