Hi, we are from Ireland. We have been travelling through Southeast Asia for the past few months. Our journey ended in quarantine in Vinh City. Quarantine was not part of our original plan, nor was it something we anticipated.

However, we had a really comfortable time here. The entire staff at the quarantine area treated us very well and we were really impressed with the way Vietnam responded to the Covid-19 epidemic.

We look forward to the opportunity to return to Vietnam to explore more when the situation is more stable. Thank you very much.”

Thank you doctors and soldiers of Uncle Ho.

Mr. Bui Xuan Hieu, born in 1957, residing in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi City - who returned from Laos through Nam Can Border Gate (Nghe An), entered the Military Quarantine Area in Nghi An Commune, Vinh City on March 18, 2020 respectfully recorded:

Mr. Bui Xuan HieuI would like to express my deep gratitude to the attention of the Party and State and especially the Military Command of Nghe An province.

“During the days of quarantine, we were arranged to have a spacious, clean and airy place to stay. Regarding food, we were guaranteed 3 meals a day, which I think is very good and ensures good health. Every day, Nghe An soldiers visited us for health check-ups, measured our body temperature, took blood, tested samples... with a very caring, enthusiastic, thoughtful and responsible spirit. I think we are truly worthy of the title "Uncle Ho's soldiers".

During these days, the relationship between the soldiers and the isolated people was very good, united and kind, nothing unfortunate happened. Although it was only a short time, it left me and the people with joy and emotion.

Through this, I and the people would like to express our deep gratitude to the Party and State for their attention, especially to the Nghe An Provincial Military Command. I wish you good health, happiness, and to always successfully complete all tasks assigned by the army and the Fatherland.

Mr. Ho Phi Hao in Hoang Mai town, returned to Vietnam from Laos via Cau Treo Border Gate, and was quarantined at the Military Quarantine Area since March 18, 2020. He expressed:

Mr. Ho Phi Hao (Hoang Mai town) carefully wrote down lines of deep gratitude towards the Party, State, cadres, soldiers, and medical staff.

“I was taken to the quarantine area at the National Defense and Security Education Center with other people who entered the country on the same day. At first, I was really worried and I was not ready for this. But when the provincial leaders informed me that quarantine was important for me, my family and society at this time, I complied seriously.

Thank you to the leaders, staff, soldiers and medical staff at the quarantine area for always caring for and asking about the health of those in quarantine every day."

Mr. Hoang Van Dong, Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district, who has been quarantined at the military's centralized quarantine area since March 18, 2020, expressed:

“14 days of quarantine is not a long time but it left me with many emotions. The quarantine area is like my second home, warm and cozy. All the officers and soldiers here live with affection, taking care of every meal and sleep like family members. Only socialist Vietnam can do that.

I would like to sincerely thank the Party and Government for taking care of the people, especially the soldiers, doctors and nurses here, who are truly like fish and water, wholeheartedly devoted to the people.
