Nghe An mobilizes more than 49 billion VND to support Covid-19 prevention and control
(Baonghean.vn) - As of the afternoon of April 7, the entire Nghe An province has received and registered to support more than 49 billion VND in cash and in kind from charitable organizations and individuals to support the prevention and fight against the Covid-19 epidemic.
On April 7, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee continued to receive support for Covid-19 prevention and control from organizations, individuals and philanthropists.

Specifically: Nghe An Provincial Border Guard officers and soldiers donated nearly 297 million VND; The Provincial People's Procuracy donated 15 million VND; Golden City Joint Stock Company donated 600 anti-epidemic suits, 1,500 masks, worth about 200 million VND.
Nghe An Brick and Tile Association donated 100 million VND; MASAN MB Company Limited in Nghe An donated 100 million VND in kind; Venerable Thich Tho Lac and Buddhists from Tu Pagoda and Diec Pagoda donated 50 million VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Vo Thi Minh Sinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the sentiments that agencies, businesses and philanthropists have given to the province during the peak period of Covid-19 prevention and control.
Responding to the call of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels for "all people to support the prevention and control of Covid-19", especially since the whole country entered the peak period of epidemic prevention and control according to Directive 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister, the movement to support the fight against the epidemic has also been enthusiastically responded to by people in villages and residential areas.

Typically, many children have slaughtered piggy banks to support epidemic prevention and control; many elderly people with poor health still come to donate bundles of tea, bunches of vegetables, and cans of rice; many disabled people sew masks and donate money to the local Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund.
According to the Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Nghe An currently has nearly 7,000 people in quarantine, with nearly 3,000 people serving. The province has prepared 32 centralized quarantine sites, of which 28 are currently in use.

Accordingly, nearly 10,000 meals must be prepared for each daily meal for the quarantine points. However, with donations from local people, the quarantine points have enough vegetables, rice, and food to supplement the food rations for the quarantined people. In addition, the districts support each other with rice to provide enough rice for the quarantine points.

The work of preventing and fighting the epidemic still has many difficulties. The forces serving at concentrated quarantine points and checkpoints established at border gates are all struggling.
With the joint efforts of all levels and authorities, all people are joining hands with the Government, all levels, sectors and communities in the province to push back the epidemic, hoping that life and production will soon return to normal.

According to the statistics compiled by the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee as of the afternoon of April 7, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has received and registered to support more than 21.8 billion VND in cash and in kind from agencies, units and individuals.
In addition, the Fatherland Front of 21 districts, towns and cities in the province mobilized more than 27.2 billion VND in cash and in kind to support the prevention and fight against Covid-19.
