Female employee of Truong Sinh Company tested positive again after being discharged from hospital
Discharged from the hospital on April 14, 3 days later, the female patient was found positive for SARS-CoV-2 again.
Mr. Duong Viet Tai, Director of Chuong My District Medical Center, Hanoi, has just announced that patient 188 (female, 44 years old, employee of Truong Sinh Company) tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 3 days after being announced to be cured.
According to Mr. Tai, patient 188 is still under observation for 14 days after being declared free of the disease. On April 14, the patient was discharged from the hospital and returned to his home in Khôn Duy village, Mỹ Lương commune, Chương Mỹ district to monitor his health and quarantine at home.
By the morning of April 17, the patient had symptoms of intermittent dry cough, body temperature measured at 36.8 degrees Celsius, slight chest tightness, no runny nose.

Chuong My District Medical Center has taken samples for testing and sent them to the Center for Disease Control (CDC Hanoi). CDC Hanoi announced on the morning of April 18 that the patient tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. The female patient was transferred to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, branch 2 (Dong Anh, Hanoi) for examination and treatment according to regulations.
“We have isolated the cases that have come into contact with the patient according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health. Of which, there are two direct contacts (F1): the patient's husband and daughter. Both have been quarantined at Hanoi National University in Thach That. The number of F2 contacts is 12 people, who are being quarantined at home,” said Mr. Tai.
Previously, patient 188 was found to have Covid-19, hospitalized and treated at Ha Nam Provincial General Hospital since March 28.
Currently, the authorities of Chuong My district are continuing to investigate F2 and F3 cases related to this case. The patient's house and surrounding households have also been sprayed with disinfectant three times on April 16, 17 and 18. The People's Committee of My Luong commune has also directed the implementation of zoning measures and proactively isolated the area.
