Rice ATM program to support the poor in Yen Thanh
(Baonghean.vn) - People in extremely difficult circumstances in Yen Thanh district (Nghe An) received rice support from Yen Thanh Group and their relatives, to share the difficulties caused by the Covid-19 epidemic.

On the morning of April 26, Yen Thanh group and relatives organized a rice ATM program - supporting the poor facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
Unlike the rice ATM program in other localities, here, each poor household is given a 10kg bag of rice and a pack of masks to prevent Covid-19 by members of the Organizing Committee.

It is known that this is the first rice support point in Yen Thanh district, aiming to support those in especially difficult and disadvantaged circumstances in society, to reduce difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic. The program was organized by Yen Thanh group and relatives, with donations from benefactors in the district and some individuals outside the district.
Mr. Phan Van Tien - the initiator of the program said that so far the group has raised 80 million VND and 1 ton of rice. This money will be used to buy rice to distribute to people in especially difficult circumstances in the district, from April 26 to May 1.
