Engineer Cao Minh Hoa and his billion-dollar initiatives

Born and raised in Nghia Dan district, after graduating from the Mechatronics major at Da Nang University of Technology, engineer Cao Minh Hoa spent many years working at large factories and corporations in the country. In 2011, with the desire to work near home, he joined TH Milk Joint Stock Company. As a manager, he and his colleagues researched and launched many projects and innovative initiatives that brought billions of dong in benefits to the company.

Faced with the reality that factories have to buy and transport water from other places to meet production needs at high costs, but it has not been used thoroughly, Cao Minh Hoa and his colleagues have successfully created a clean water recovery system, reused for different purposes in processing and packaging areas, saving hundreds of cubic meters of water.3water/day, benefiting the company about 1.5 billion VND/year.

Then, faced with the phenomenon of yogurt boxes and cartons lacking milk mass, lacking cartons in the boxes, Cao Minh Hoa and his colleagues researched and successfully manufactured a weight control scale for the yogurt production line, automatically controlling the weight of the boxes and cartons. Thereby, reducing the time and labor for control, minimizing the problem of complaints from customers related to the weight of the product, saving 1.2 billion VND/year for the company.

In particular, in 2017, with the initiative "Manufacturing molds for making drinking yogurt bottle caps", Cao Minh Hoa saved the company over 4 billion VND in costs to change the production line for drinking yogurt caps. And most recently, in early 2020, with the initiative "Manufacturing automatic milk carton loading and unloading palletizer" was successfully applied in production, helping to fully automate the line, reducing 6 workers/1 line/1 production day, saving the company over 2 billion VND.

With his contributions, Cao Minh Hoa has continuously been a good worker of the company, received the "Creative Labor" Certificate from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and is a shining example in the "Good Labor, Creative Labor" movement for many consecutive years.


Worker Nguyen Thi Duc with the spirit of self-study to be creative

Born in 1988 in Hung Tay commune (Hung Nguyen), after finishing high school, Nguyen Thi Duc went to Saigon to learn a trade and then worked as a garment worker. In 2014, Duc returned to her hometown and applied for a job at Haivina Kim Lien Company Limited (Nam Giang, Nam Dan). Here, Duc always achieved the highest attendance score and also self-studied to master 5 types of complex machines such as the screw machine, zigzag machine, Kansai machine, and was the one who fixed defective products when problems occurred... Recognizing Duc's efforts and attempts, the company arranged for him to be a deputy line manager, then line manager...

As the leader of the glove sample sewing line, Duc shows that in addition to professional skills, there is also creativity and innovation to sew samples as quickly as possible, meet optimal standards and train other workers. In 2018, starting from the reality of sewing and cutting fabric according to patterns, which is both low-productivity and labor-intensive, with many operations, Duc struggled to come up with the initiative of "Improving working methods", cutting fabric according to patterns, unlimited length, sewing with 2-needle machines with gauges, reducing 1 assistant worker, the sewing process reduced from 650 pairs/5 hours to 650 pairs/2 hours.

In 2019, with the initiative "Improving labor productivity", Duc improved the way of drawing, measuring, and aligning manually, which was complicated and involved many operations, to drawing and measuring at once, reducing operations, increasing labor productivity (from drawing 2 marks to 1 mark, saving chalk, increasing output by 200%), benefiting the company hundreds of millions of dong.

Nguyen Thi Duc was honored to be nominated to represent 3,000 workers of the Company to attend the Patriotic Emulation Congress of Nghe An province for the period 2015 - 2020.


Worker Truong Xuan Bang and improvements in difficult work

Graduating from the Vietnam-Germany Technical College (Nghe An), Truong Xuan Bang (born in 1990) traveled to the South and the North to work as a worker for many different companies and factories. In 2016, Bang became an official worker at the MNS FEED Factory.
During his time working at the factory, Bang had many innovative initiatives to improve work efficiency, especially ensuring occupational safety and hygiene for factory workers. Specifically, in the past, when opening and closing cargo compartments, workers had to use forklifts to perform the operation, while the forklifts were long and had no fixed place, so they often slid, forcing two workers to support both sides of the 1-ton heavy door.

Therefore, if the forklift accidentally collides, it is very easy to cause a work accident. After testing, Bang came up with a way to install 2 safety locks to open the doors of the warehouses, helping to fix the lock - open, only needing one person to operate the forklift to open the warehouse door, both saving labor and ensuring work safety.

In addition, Bang also had the initiative to use broken forklift tires as anti-collision pillars in front of the 100-ton scale. Because before, when weighing goods, if the driver was not careful or did not align properly, he often bumped into the 100-ton scale, causing damage to the scale and endangering the safety of the driver and related people. Most recently, Bang took advantage of wooden panels from packages to make drinking water tanks for contractor employees, saving time and costs for the factory...
