Traffic police will conduct a general inspection of all road vehicles.
Traffic police are allowed to stop all road vehicles to check and handle violations during a month of general road vehicle control.
The Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) said that traffic police forces nationwide will launch a general campaign to control and handle violations of traffic safety and order from May 15 to June 14.
The plan was implemented in the context of complicated developments in traffic order and safety, especially after the April 30 holiday and the whole country is gradually easing social distancing.

According to the plan, the national traffic police will deploy forces and vehicles to control all types of road vehicles, focusing on passenger transport vehicles, container trucks, cars and motorbikes. During the implementation of the task, the traffic police will also use cameras to record all activities.
During the campaign, traffic police are allowed to stop all vehicles to check and handle violations. Special attention will be paid to violations related to alcohol concentration, drugs, speed, swerving, etc.
Control will be focused on expressways and National Highway 1 (from Lang Son to Ho Chi Minh City). As for other routes, it will be based on the actual situation in each place and decided by the locality.
Regarding alcohol concentration testing, the Traffic Police Department requires strict compliance with the equipment operating procedures, ensuring hygiene and sterilization of measuring instruments, using separate mouthpieces for each person, and preserving and destroying used items in accordance with health sector regulations.
“While on duty, all officers and soldiers must strictly follow the instructions of the health sector on wearing masks, gloves and protective equipment to ensure safety for themselves and the people in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic,” the Traffic Police Department emphasized.
