“With the discovery of the Partridge (Bambusicola fytchii), the Green-billed Bird (Erythrura prasina) and the Oriental Sharp-headed Warbler (Acrocephalus orientalis), three new species discovered in Pu Hoat Nature Reserve that have never been recorded in the North Central region, 10 more bird species have been added to the rich list of bird species in Pu Hoat Nature Reserve,” said Mr. Sinh.

According to Mr. Sinh, in the past time, some research projects of Frontier-Vietnam organization and Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center have only been preliminary surveys and assessments. In order to fully and comprehensively assess the diversity of bird fauna, in 2019 - Pu Hoat Nature Reserve Management Board had a scientific research project to assess the characteristics of bird fauna (Aves).

The initial research results have recorded extremely important new additions to scientific data on the conservation value of biodiversity in general and of the bird fauna in particular at Pu Hoat Nature Reserve.
