(Baonghean.vn) - This is the support contribution of the whole industry for non-public school teachers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic after receiving a call for support from the Education Trade Union.

Working with schools, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh acknowledged the efforts and sense of responsibility of the non-public teachers in disease prevention and implementation of the school year's tasks. At the same time, he shared the difficulties, hardships and disadvantages of the staff and teachers of non-public schools, in the situation that the schools have no source of income to pay teachers' salaries because they have to take a long break from school to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.

In the spirit of mutual love and support, the Education and Training sector has recently launched a call for donations across the sector and connected with business organizations. Through this, 400 gifts worth 310 million VND have been mobilized to support teachers, staff and workers at 18 non-public high schools and will be given to all teachers this week.

Although the gift is small, it has been a timely encouragement for teachers to overcome difficulties and strive to complete their tasks well in the school year. In the coming time, the Department will continue to have policies to support non-public schools in professional work and enrollment.

Previously, according to statistics from the Nghe An education sector, the whole province had nearly 9,000 cadres, non-public teachers and guest teachers, and public school contract staff affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.
