(Baonghean.vn) - A fishing boat of fishermen in Quyet Thanh hamlet, Dien Bich commune (Dien Chau) ran aground at Dien Thanh estuary (Dien Chau), and by noon on May 16 it still could not be "rescued".

At 6:00 p.m. on May 15, fishing boat with license plate NA 0277 TS of fisherman Tran Van Hung (1979), residing in Quyet Thanh hamlet, Dien Bich commune, Dien Chau, ran aground at Dien Thanh beach on the way back.

According to the fishermen, at that time, the boat went into the wrong channel, and was hit by a big wave, causing the hull to be punctured, water and sand flooded into the boat, making it unable to move. Fortunately, the 4 crew members on board were all safe, however, all the seafood caught was washed away by the sea water.

The fishermen reported to the authorities and asked Dien Thanh Border Guard Station to come to the rescue. Upon receiving the news, Dien Thanh Border Guard Station promptly dispatched forces to help the fishermen work hard in the hot sun to rescue the ship. However, by noon today (May 16), the ship had not been successfully rescued.

It is expected that today, when the tide recedes, the forces will focus on pumping water and sand from the ship's hold, patching the hole in the ship's hull, and waiting for the tide to rise before mobilizing a large ship to tow it back.

It is known that the channel into Lach Van port for fishing boats is currently seriously silted, and fishermen's boats have been repeatedly in trouble at the estuary in recent times. Fishermen hope that the channel will soon be dredged so that they can confidently go out to sea.
