Congress of the Party Committee of Dai Dong commune, Thanh Chuong district, term 2020 - 2025

On May 17, Dai Dong Commune Party Committee (Thanh Chuong) held the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2020 - 2025.

Dai Dong commune was merged from 3 communes Thanh Tuong, Thanh Van and Thanh Hung according to Resolution No. 37-NQ/TW, dated December 24, 2018 of the Politburo on the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels.

Over the past 5 years, the Party Executive Committees of the three communes of Thanh Tuong, Thanh Van and Thanh Hung have implemented the Resolutions of the Party Congresses of each commune for the 2015-2020 term, achieving many comprehensive results in all fields.

Notably, the average growth rate in the period 2016 - 2020 reached 7.9%/year; the economic structure shifted in the right direction.

In particular, in the agricultural production sector, fruit tree production areas have been initially formed; models of growing beans and cucumbers on double-rice land have been built for high income. Livestock farming continues to develop well in both quantity and quality, household economy initially brings in good income, and land areas are fully exploited.

Services, trade, professions, industry, and construction continue to develop. In the commune, two craft villages (woodworking and vermicelli villages) are well maintained. In addition, other industries such as construction, drum making, etc. provide jobs for hundreds of workers.

The movement to build new rural areas has been enthusiastically competed by the Party Committee and people of the commune. Many households have donated land and property to build rural traffic works, intra-field traffic works, and cultural and welfare works.

From 2016 to 2019, the total mobilized social capital for investment in new rural construction increased by 88.97 billion VND, of which the people contributed 8.207 billion VND, accounting for 9.24%. The total capital for new rural construction in Dai Dong commune has so far reached over 200 billion VND.

The cultural and social fields continue to develop, national defense, security, and social order and safety are stable. The political system is united, unified, operating synchronously and effectively; the great national solidarity bloc is strengthened.

With the efforts of the people, the estimated poverty rate by the end of 2020 is down to 1.4%; average income per capita increased from 29 million VND in 2016 to 38 million VND in 2019, estimated to reach 45.3 million VND/person/year in 2020.

The material and spiritual life of the people has gradually improved, the face of the commune has improved a lot, the people are excited, in agreement, and confident in the innovation and development of their homeland and country.

The Congress also focused on discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the higher-level Congress, at the same time, clarifying the achieved results and limitations, thereby setting out goals, directions and tasks for the next term to continue to lead Dai Dong commune to further development, focusing on improving criteria and building a model new rural commune.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Nguyen Huu Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Thanh Chuong District Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated that immediately after the merger, the commune immediately started directing the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, constantly improving the people's lives.

Regarding the development orientation in the coming time, Thanh Chuong District Party Secretary suggested that the Party Committee and people of Dai Dong commune need to continue to do well in political and ideological education, promote Party building and the political system.

Continue to effectively implement the agricultural development program, apply science and technology to production. Develop plans such as building farms, ranches, projects to develop commercial cattle breeding, model gardens, and effectively promote the capacity of local land.

Based on the planning and development of industry and construction of the province and district; the locality determines the advantage of being the connection point of many traffic routes to plan, orient and build a plan to call for investment in long-term industrial and construction development, especially in the field of agricultural product processing.

Create policies and mechanisms to attract investment in planning and building concentrated trading areas at Rang market, Vinh market and other central areas to both meet the retail trading needs of goods serving local people and create jobs to increase income.

Thanh Chuong District Party Secretary expressed his belief in promoting the traditional strengths of a homeland rich in revolutionary traditions and studiousness; with the high political determination of the entire political system, the entire Party, and the entire people, united in mind and efforts, striving to build a comprehensively strong Dai Dong Commune Party Committee.

The Congress elected the Party Committee of Dai Dong commune, term I, 2020 - 2025, consisting of 16 comrades; elected a delegation to attend the Thanh Chuong district Party Congress, consisting of 11 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates. Comrade Nguyen Van Thuy continued to be elected as Secretary of the Party Committee of Dai Dong commune for the term 2020 - 2025.
