Arrest of drug trafficker with firearm in Vinh city
(Baonghean.vn) - Subject Nguyen Tho Hieu, born in 1981, was caught red-handed with 6,000 ecstasy pills, a military gun with 4 loaded bullets and a knife.
At 10:30 a.m. on May 17, at Phu My Trung apartment building, No. 3, Mai Hac De Street, Vinh City,Hung Nguyen District Police discovered and caught Nguyen Tho Hieu, born in 1981, residing in Quan Bau Ward (Vinh City) in the act of illegally storing narcotics. The authorities seized 6,000 pink pills, a military gun with 4 loaded bullets and a knife.

Searching the subject's residence in room 607, Phu My Trung apartment building and on the subject's vehicle, the authorities seized an additional 120g of crystal meth, 600 pink pills, 100 ecstasy pills, 1 pistol, 1 flintlock gun, 2 ammunition boxes, 1 knife and many other properties.

It is known that Hieu is a subject who regularly transports large quantities of drugs to Hung Nguyen and other areas in Nghe An and Ha Tinh for consumption. During his criminal activities, he was extremely vigilant with sophisticated and cunning tricks to deceive the authorities.
In particular, this subject always carries hot weapons with him, including knives and guns of all kinds, with the purpose of fighting back if discovered. He even keeps a large amount of gasoline ready to destroy his vehicle and drugs if discovered.
