Effectively exploiting advantages for Quynh Phuong to rapidly develop marine economy

During the 2015 - 2020 term, the Party Committee and people of Quynh Phuong Ward have strived to fulfill the targets of the Resolution of the 29th Ward Party Congress. Thanks to the application of many synchronous solutions, the average annual economic growth rate reached 13%; the total production value in 2019 reached more than 1 trillion VND, equal to 164.6% compared to 2015.

The economic structure is shifting in the right direction. In particular, the total value of fishery production by 2019 was over 520 billion VND, accounting for nearly 52% of the economic structure.

The number of well-off and rich households increased rapidly, while the number of poor households decreased. People's lives were improved, the average added value per capita continuously increased over the years, from 24.8 million VND/person in 2015 to 43.8 million VND/person in 2019 and is estimated to reach over 50 million VND/person in 2020, equal to 201.6% compared to 2015. The socio-cultural sector has made much progress, social security is guaranteed, and the material and spiritual life of the people is constantly improving. The poverty rate decreased rapidly from 4.7% in 2015 to 1.48% in 2019, and is expected to be 1% by the end of 2020.

Attending and directing the congress, comrade Dam Huu Hong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee spoke to acknowledge the efforts of the Ward Party Committee in the past term, and emphasized: With great advantages in terms of geographical location and cultural tourism, Quynh Phuong must be more proactive and develop to effectively exploit the advantages of the coast and ports to strongly develop the marine economy, becoming the center of fishing services of the town.

In addition, Quynh Phuong must continue to pay attention to developing tourism infrastructure and urban beautification. Immediately after the congress, based on the three key programs presented to the congress, the ward must have specific solutions to turn the resolution's goals into reality.

Along with the discussion, at the congress, 15 comrades were elected to the Ward Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, votes were taken to nominate the Secretary and elect a delegation to attend the 2nd Congress of Hoang Mai Town Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term./.
