Nghe An Provincial People's Committee works with the Japanese Embassy, JICA and JETRO
(Baonghean.vn) - On May 28, a delegation from Nghe An province led by Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and worked with the Embassy of Japan, JICA and JETRO Japan in Hanoi.

Continuing the tradition of friendship established by Mr. Phan Boi Chau and Doctor Asaba Sakitaro, in recent years, the Embassy of Japan has promoted comprehensive, stable and long-term cooperation activities with Nghe An province and has achieved important results in many fields. The Ambassador hopes that Nghe An province will create favorable conditions for Japanese companies to invest in Nghe An, including companies such as Fujitsu and Aeon Mall that are exploring investment in the province.
The Ambassador said that Japan is ready to support the development of Nghe An's infrastructure to enhance its advantages in attracting investment, and at the same time suggested that the province increase the organization of conferences and seminars to promote investment of Japanese enterprises...
On behalf of the delegation, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his pleasure to visit the Embassy and meet the new Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, wishing him a successful term, contributing to further developing the comprehensive strategic relationship between the two countries in the coming time.
At the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed the Ambassador about the milestones in the cooperative relationship between Nghe An and Japanese partners in recent times, such as friendly cooperation with Japanese localities, attracting Japanese investors to Nghe An, especially in the ODA field that the Japanese Government has allocated to Nghe An province.
However, the cooperation results between Nghe An and Japan are still limited and not commensurate with the potential of both sides. In the coming time, in the orientation of socio-economic development, Nghe An continues to consider attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and mobilizing ODA capital from Japan as resources that play an important role in the socio-economic development of the province.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa respectfully conveyed the invitation of the Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Nghe An province to the Ambassador to visit and work in Nghe An province to concretize the cooperation contents between the two sides. The Ambassador happily accepted the invitation and will arrange time to visit Nghe An at an appropriate time.

On the same morning, the Nghe An Provincial Delegation also visited and worked with JICA and JETRO Japan in Vietnam.
At the meeting, Mr. Shimizu Akira, the new Chief Representative of JICA Hanoi, highly appreciated the cooperation activities between JICA and Nghe An province in the recent past. In particular, agricultural cooperation between Nghe An province and JICA is considered a model for JICA's cooperation with localities in Vietnam. JICA's support for Nghe An province through ODA projects has made an important contribution to the socio-economic development and infrastructure improvement in Nghe An. It can be said that JICA's activities in Nghe An are one of the vivid and profound manifestations of the strategic partnership between the two countries in the recent past.

At the meeting with JETRO, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed to Mr. Nakajima Takeo, Chief Representative of JETRO about bilateral cooperation activities in the coming time in the spirit of the signed cooperation agreement. With the potential of abundant and cheap human resources, large land area, located in the strategic location of Vietnam, Nghe An province requested the Chief Representative to pay attention to supporting the connection and introducing businesses to explore investment in Nghe An province at VSIP, WHA industrial parks and Hoang Mai Industrial Park of Hoang Thinh Dat Company.
The Chief Representative of JICA and JETRO said that he will visit and conduct a field survey in Nghe An, and will coordinate with the province to specifically implement the signed tripartite cooperation agreement, bringing high efficiency in the coming time.
