Honoring typical advanced models of Nghe An Tax sector
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 29, in Vinh City, Nghe An Tax Department organized the 5th Advanced Model Conference in 2020.
Attending the conference were representatives of the Department of Finance, representatives of the Provincial Civil Servants' Union and 100 typical delegates of officers and employees of the Tax sector.
On behalf of the presidium, comrade Trinh Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Tax Department, stated the significance of the Patriotic Emulation movement in implementing the political tasks of the Tax sector for 5 years, from 2015 to 2020. Accordingly, based on the directive documents of the General Department of Taxation and the province, the Nghe An Tax sector builds a plan and emulation theme for each year in accordance with the requirements and tasks of the sector.

Thanks to that, in the past 5 years, together with the whole industry, the Tax Department has completed the assigned tasks, the annual budget revenue always meets and exceeds the assigned estimate. If in 2015, the budget revenue was only 8,047 billion VND/plan of 6,730 billion VND, by 2019 it had increased to 14,694 billion VND/plan of 10,888 billion VND. The total state budget revenue for 5 years, the period of 2015 - 2019 increased 1.98 times compared to the period of 2010 - 2014.

In addition, the Tax Department has had many solutions to reform administrative procedures, modernize tax management, reform and streamline the tax administrative apparatus from 21 branches to 10 branches; on average each year there are 45-60 initiatives to improve tax collection efficiency; the movement "Promoting learning and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh" has been seriously implemented, cultural, artistic and sports activities have been increasingly strengthened.

In 5 years, 1 collective was awarded the Government Emulation Flag, 2 collectives were awarded the Ministry of Finance Emulation Flag, 1 collective was awarded the Provincial People's Committee Emulation Flag and 28 individuals were awarded the title of Emulation Fighter of the entire Finance sector; 4 individuals were awarded the Second Class Labor Medal and 4 collectives and individuals were awarded the Third Class Labor Medal, 1 individual was awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; 1 collective and 5 individuals are being proposed to be awarded the Third Class Independence Medal and the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals.

Entering the new phase, Nghe An Tax Department strives to continue to innovate leadership and direction for emulation and reward work. Emulation movements need to closely follow the political tasks of ministries, branches and localities, regularly organize and launch emulation movements in the whole industry with emulation goals, emulation slogans and specific and practical emulation contents; further promote the core role of leaders and Party committees of units in attracting union members to participate in emulation movements.

Launching the emulation movement of the Tax sector in 2020 and the following years, comrade Nguyen Xuan Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Finance, in charge of the emulation block of the financial sector, spoke to acknowledge the efforts of the Tax Department in the past time.

In the coming time, he suggested that the Tax Department continue to pay attention to propaganda work on the position and role of the emulation movement; link emulation with the implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW on Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh; strengthen coordination with relevant sectors to perform tasks well; innovate the quality and form of emulation in a practical and effective direction; link emulation with improving the quality and efficiency of daily work; shift from year-end emulation rewards to regular and unexpected rewards; ensure fairness in emulation evaluation to motivate workers...
