Congress of Delegates of Vinh University Party Committee, term XXXII, 2020 - 2025
(Baonghean.vn) - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung suggested that Vinh University needs to fulfill its mission as a high-quality educational and training institution; a leading center for teacher training, scientific research and technology transfer in the North Central region and the whole country; always aiming for the success of learners, truly a place to "create the future for the youth".
On the morning of June 3, Vinh University Party Committee held the 32nd Congress of Delegates for the 2020 - 2025 term.
Attending the Congress were comrade Mai Van Trinh - Director of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Ho Phuc Hop - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc; Phan Duc Dong - Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Comprehensive results
The Political Report presented at the Congress affirmed: In the 2015 - 2020 term, the collective Party Executive Committee, the Party Committee Standing Committee, the University Council, the School Board of Directors and the staff, Party members and students of Vinh University promptly seized opportunities and advantages; made efforts to overcome difficulties; maintained solidarity and unity, and made correct, timely, creative and practical decisions. The Vinh University Party Committee focused on leading and directing the completion of most of the targets set out in the Resolution of the 31st Party Congress, of which many targets were exceeded, and some areas of work had outstanding results.

The Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Council of Vinh University have approved the orientation and developed strategic plans, major programs and projects of the school to ensure feasibility.
School activities are carried out publicly, democratically, and transparently, especially in organization, personnel, planning, finance, etc. Political and ideological education is given importance.
Party building work is given attention. The organizational structure is restructured and arranged to suit the scale and development of the school in the new period.

The school has implemented a training program following the CDIO approach to improve the quality of human resources to meet the increasing demands of society. Scientific research and technology transfer activities have had many positive changes. International cooperation activities have been expanded.
Facilities, equipment and financial work continue to develop. The material and spiritual life of cadres, party members, students and trainees is constantly improved. Security, order and safety in the school are guaranteed.
The position of Vinh University in the university education system continues to be affirmed: Vinh University is one of 8 schools participating in the ETEP Program; the 9th unit in the country recognized as qualified to organize exams and assess foreign language proficiency.
As an associate member of the ASEAN University Quality Assurance Network, an official member of the International CDIO Association. In 2020, according to the World University Rankings (CSIC) published on Webometrics, Vinh University was ranked 14th among Vietnamese higher education institutions.
The Party Committee, Board of Directors, mass organizations and many cadres and party members of Vinh University have been awarded noble titles, contributing to affirming the position and prestige of the school in the Vietnamese higher education system.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Vinh University Party Committee set out the general goals as follows: To improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and Party members; to strengthen innovation, cooperation and creativity; to develop Vinh University into Vinh University, a pillar of higher education institutions in the North Central region, aiming to be ranked in the top 500 universities in Asia.

Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung praised and congratulated the Party Committee, cadres, party members, students and pupils of the school on the important achievements they have made in the past term. Vinh University always holds a central position and is the leader for the block of universities in Uncle Ho's homeland and the North Central provinces.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also expressed his high agreement and welcomed the school's development goal in the coming term, which is to develop Vinh University into Vinh University, aiming to be ranked in the top 500 universities in Asia.
This is a big goal and is encouraged in the Law amending a number of articles of the Law on Higher Education (2019). At the same time, it is also the expectation of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee in building Vinh University to meet international standards to train high-quality human resources to serve the development of the province in the context of globalization with the advantage leaning towards the side with human resources that can master new technologies.

This is also an important task in successfully implementing Notice No. 55 of the Politburo on the 5-year review of the implementation of Resolution 26 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks for the development of Nghe An province until 2020.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung suggested that Vinh University continue to restructure to ensure the conditions for establishing a University, and on the other hand, lead and, together with universities and colleges in the province, form a university complex with enough resources to solve major problems of the province's Education and Training sector. He emphasized that the school needs to regularly pay attention to updating the training program so that students can always access and master new knowledge, have global working skills, proactively innovate, be creative and enhance the entrepreneurial spirit among students.
Develop strong research groups, create quality scientific products; apply new technology to solve important local and regional problems. Form an innovative and creative ecosystem based on the connection between schools and businesses so that training activities are closely linked to research and entrepreneurship among students.

Fulfilling the mission of being a university to create a high-quality workforce; being a leading center for teacher training, fostering, scientific research and technology transfer in the North Central region and the whole country; always aiming for the success of learners, truly being a place to "create the future for the youth".
Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung also noted that the school must focus on political and ideological education, promoting solidarity and unity within the Party. It is necessary to effectively implement the 4th Central Resolution on Party building in conjunction with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. Ensure the comprehensive leadership of the Party Committee, promote the role of the School Council, promote the dynamism and creativity of the Board of Directors in building a development strategy for Vinh University to meet the requirements of innovation in higher education and international integration.
Focus on building a team of cadres with strong political will, good expertise, dedication to the profession, and a scientific working style. Strengthen training and create favorable conditions for young cadres, female cadres, cadres doing research work...
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Vinh University Party Committee for the 32nd term, 2020 - 2025, with 20 comrades./.
