Nam Son Commune (Do Luong) strives to achieve advanced new rural standards by 2025

On June 11, the Nam Son Commune Party Committee opened the Congress of Delegates for the 2020-2025 term.

The Political Report for the 2020-2025 term shows that: During the past term, the socio-economic situation of Nam Son commune has developed rapidly and sustainably. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction, the locality has focused on the advantages of developing hill garden economy, renovating mixed gardens to build models. The total annual food output reaches 2,200 - 2,300 tons.

The Party Committee of the commune focused on leading the development of small-scale industries, services, and trade; contributing to creating jobs for hundreds of workers. The proportion of the service and trade sector of the commune increased from 45.2% to 52.3% compared to the beginning of the term (an increase of 7.4%).

Average annual growth rate is over 8%/year; average income per capita reaches 36.5 million VND/year (an increase of more than 10 million VND compared to the beginning of the term).

Education and training continued to develop, facilities were enhanced at all three levels of education in the direction of standardization, meeting the learning needs of children in the area; the commune met national standards in health care.

The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been actively responded to by the people, and the spiritual life of the people has been improved. Up to now, 100% of residential areas have cultural houses, 83.7% of households have been recognized as Cultural Families; the poverty rate has decreased from 7.1% (in 2015) to 3% (in 2019).

In the 2020 - 2025 term, Nam Son commune has determined the goal of focusing on exploiting economic potential in the direction of breakthroughs in "services, trade, industry, handicrafts, construction and agriculture"; Average economic growth rate reaches 10%; per capita income is 57.5 million VND/year; The rate of cultural families reaches over 85%.

Continue to focus on investing in education development, striving to build a kindergarten that meets national standards level 1 by 2022, a junior high school that meets national standards level 1, and a primary school that meets national standards level 2 by 2023; Have a policy of job training for 180 - 200 workers, of which 50 - 55 people are exported to other countries/year, thereby reducing the poverty rate to 1.5% by 2025; The Party Committee strives to complete its tasks well every year. With the determination that by 2025, Nam Son commune will meet advanced NTM standards.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Minh Hanh - Member of the District Party Committee, Head of the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Director of the District Political Center acknowledged the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Nam Son commune in the past term. At the same time, he requested the Party Committee to direct a specific action program to achieve an average income per capita from 36.5 million VND/person/year to 57.5 million VND/person/year by 2025. Agree on a specific program in directing large-scale agricultural production, assigning each person to implement. In mobilizing people's strength, it is necessary to draw experiences, summarize to further promote. Implement well the Party's leadership, the government's management, and the sectoral level as advisors. Focus on building Party cells, innovating and improving the quality of Party cell activities. Build a team of dedicated and enthusiastic communal cadres.
