Nghi Thai Commune Party Congress (Nghi Loc) term 2020 - 2025

That is the goal of the 30th Congress of the Party Committee of Nghi Thai commune, Nghi Loc district, term 2020 - 2025, taking place atin 2 days (June 10 and 11).

Attending the congress were comrades: Nguyen Ba Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Nguyen Tien Dung - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district, along with leaders of specialized departments and offices of the district and 180 party members representing 399 party members in the entire party committee.

At the Congress, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee presented the Political Report. During the past term, despite many difficulties, thanks to many synchronous solutions in leading the implementation of tasks, the socio-economic development speed of Nghi Thai commune has had proud changes and breakthroughs.

The targets set by the Resolution of the 29th Congress were basically achieved, many targets were exceeded. The total production value (at 2010 comparative prices) by 2020 is estimated to reach 391.6 billion VND, reaching 101.5% of the resolution. The average income per capita in 2020 is estimated to reach over 40 million VND/year (an increase of 13.9 million VND compared to 2015).

With many investment attraction policies, the total production value of the industrial and construction sector in 2020 in the commune is estimated at 212.2 billion VND, accounting for 35.16% of the economic structure. Trade and service activities in the area continue to develop in quantity, type and scale of production, meeting market demand and people's needs; contributing significantly to job creation and increasing income for workers.

Regarding the field of agricultural, forestry and fishery production, although the area has decreased, the commune has focused on developing a number of agricultural production models with high economic value such as: vegetable production of all kinds, the value of crops per unit area increased from 75 million to 95 million VND/ha. Taking advantage of a number of support projects with a total budget of nearly 570 million VND to expand the L14 purebred peanut models, rice field models, flower growing models of cooperatives... achieving high economic efficiency.

The total state budget revenue in the area in 5 years reached 52.7 billion VND, in 2020 alone it is estimated to reach 2.1 billion VND (an increase of 0.94 billion VND compared to the Congress Resolution). In 2014, Nghi Thai commune achieved 19/19 new rural criteria, was one of the first 7 communes in Nghe An province to be recognized as meeting new rural standards and is currently continuing to build advanced new rural areas.

Along with that, the cultural and social fields have achieved good results. 11/11 villages have spacious and clean community cultural houses, meeting the needs of the people. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been well implemented, the rate of cultural families annually reaches over 88.6%. Up to now, 3/3 schools have met the National standard level 1, and are focusing on building primary schools to meet the National standard level 2.

Currently, Nghi Thai commune has more than 490 workers working abroad... contributing to job creation, increasing income in the commune; reducing the poverty rate to 1.3% by 2020 (down 1.5% compared to 2015). The work of caring for and protecting people's health is given attention. National defense and security are maintained.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Nguyen Ba Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee highly appreciated the achievements of Nghi Thai Commune Party Committee in the past term, and at the same time requested the Commune Party Committee to focus on exploiting the advantages of the locality to strongly shift the economic structure towards increasing the proportion of services, trade, small-scale industry and construction.

For the agricultural production sector, it is necessary to focus on reviewing the land fund; actively encourage the conversion of land to create conditions for the formation and development of concentrated and specialized areas associated with the application of scientific and technological advances; boldly convert low-yield rice growing areas to grow clean, quality and branded vegetables, tubers and fruits to supply the market of Vinh City and Cua Lo Town. At the same time, the commune needs to make the most of the land fund to develop and improve the efficiency of aquaculture, especially paying attention to quality products. Focus on building a clean and strong Party and political system.

During the 2020 - 2025 term, Nghi Thai Commune Party Committee continues to promote the strength of the great national unity bloc; maximize the local potential and advantages, strive to achieve a total production value of nearly 650 billion VND by 2025; an average annual economic growth rate of 9 - 10%; promote economic development according to the structure of industry, trade, services and agriculture; strive for an average income per capita of 55 - 60 million VND/year by 2025; build primary schools that meet national standards at level 2; increase the rate of cultural families to over 88%; reduce the rate of poor households to below 0.7%; build a commune that meets advanced new rural standards before 2025; The Party Committee is annually classified as completing its tasks well or better.

The Congress voted to elect a new Executive Committee of 14 comrades and a delegation to attend the Nghi Loc District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. Comrade Nguyen Van Thong was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghi Thai Commune Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term./.
