Congress of Quynh Nghia Commune Party Committee (Quynh Luu) for the 2020 - 2025 term

Attending the congress were comrades: Hoang Danh Lai - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council; Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and comrades in the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, departments, branches, and unions of Quynh Luu district and 186 delegates representing 345 party members in the entire Party Committee.

In the 2015 - 2020 term, the Quynh Nghia Commune Party Committee has promoted the tradition of solidarity, leading the people to basically complete and exceed the targets set by the 30th Commune Party Congress. The total production value in 2020 is estimated at 613.6 billion VND, an increase of 29.2% compared to 2015; the average economic growth rate over the past 5 years is estimated at 8.1%.

The economic structure has shifted in a positive direction. The average income per capita in 2020 is estimated at 45 million VND/person/year, an increase of 18.01 million VND compared to the beginning of the term. The estimated state budget revenue is 20.7 billion VND.

Notably, during the past term, Quynh Nghia actively mobilized people to convert seasonal crop structure, suitable vegetables such as hot peppers, green onions for seeds... The net house production model was initially effective, with an average production value of 200 million VND/year. Deer farming developed with a total herd of 1,445 animals. Seafood exploitation continued to be the local spearhead economic sector with a total output in 2020 estimated at over 19,192 tons, worth over 340 billion VND, up 57% compared to 2015.

Small-scale handicraft industries are maintained and developed such as shipbuilding, ship repair, fine art and civil carpentry. Promoting the advantages of the sea, Quynh Nghia continues to focus on investing in building traffic routes, power lines from the center to the coastal tourist area, and innovating tourism propaganda and promotion. Therefore, the number of visitors and vacationers is increasing, averaging 30,000 people/year.

In terms of culture and society, there have been many positive changes. The rate of cultural families reached 93.9%, and that of cultural villages reached 98.2%. The quality of education has been increasingly improved, and schools have continuously achieved the title of advanced labor collectives. Cultural and sports activities have taken place vigorously. The work of building the Party and the political system has been increasingly strengthened. During the term, the Party Committee admitted 38 new Party members.

Promoting the achieved results, in the term 2020 - 2025, the Party Committee of Quynh Nghia commune sets out the following main targets:

- Strive for total production value to reach more than 962 billion VND by 2025, average economic growth rate of 5 years to reach 9 - 9.4%;

- Average income per capita by the end of the term reaches 65 - 70 million VND.

- Seafood output reaches 22,000 - 26,000 tons, cultural residential area rate reaches 100%, poverty rate drops to below 0.5%...

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Secretary of Quynh Luu District Party Committee hoped that in the 2020 - 2025 term, the communeQuynh Nghia needs to continue mobilizing resources, promoting investment attraction, promoting and effectively exploiting local potentials and advantages to improve the quality of new rural construction criteria, striving to achieve advanced new rural areas by 2023.

Maintain political security, strongly fight against all types of crimes; Continue to create a favorable environment for the development of various types of services; Expand trading, transportation, and fishing logistics services; Raise awareness in business and environmental protection; Strengthen the management of Quynh sea tourism planning, pay attention to investing in developing sea tourism associated with spiritual tourism, landscape tourism and local experiences, carry out information and propaganda work well, promote the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life, carry out well the work of local defense - military, the work of building the Party and the political system...

Promoting the spirit of democracy, solidarity, responsibility and innovation, the Congress elected 12 comrades to the Party Committee of the commune for the new term. Comrade Hoang Kien was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Quynh Nghia commune for the 2020-2025 term. The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the Party Congress at a higher level./.
